Ive been vaping since 3/31/15. Ive been making my own juice since july. I vape 70/30. The past 3 months Ive had swollen lymph nodes about the size of a walnut and a smaller one under it. I dont have insurance so i cant get tested at the moment. I have a retired doctor in the family that just looked at it. He just confirmed they were my nodes and said to wait to see if they get larger. Then i started thinking everything was fine when i smoked. Only thing different was vaping so I googled "vaping swollen lymph nodes". If only one thing popped up i would have ignored but there are a whole lot of pple w/ same issue. Lets just say im scared to death and Im wondering if anyone else has this problem . oh yea i vape all day about 3ml per day.

Can we be clear on this? 70/30, as typed is 70PG 30VG. Unless the "standard" has changed. Do you mean to say 70VG 30 PG? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but people change this all the time and I do not want to make an assumption. Here goes other assumptions anyhow...

1) Possible Allergy to PG
2) Possible Allergy to flavor selection
3) Possible coincidence? Your Symptoms did not start immediately, so potentially jumping to conclusions?

I could make an endless list, but the bottom line is if you think it's vaping take a few "sick days" from vaping and see how you feel.
Nothing beats a doctor(well, in most cases), consider finding a clinic or aid?
Too many total variables to be accurate at any rate. Same juice? different juice? are you typing the ratios right?

I am no doctor, I have been vaping for a long time and the worst I ever had was a sore throat from vaping too much.

70vg 30 pg. I get all my stuff at ecigexpress. I was making and vaping all sorts of stuff. now im down to light flavor about 7 to10%. Im about to cut all flavors out. I have a kanger subtank mini that i drilled holes in side of RBA so i dont get dry hits. i guess i have to get a dripper to vape higher than 80vg. Try googling vaping swollen lymph nodes. There are lots of ppl w same problem.

Swollen lymph nodes are a symptom of infection. Vaping would not cause that. You are drawing a conclusion based on a correlation (the fact that you vape now) rather than a true causation -- vaping does not cause infection, microbes cause infection.

its prob a huge coincidence. Just wondering if anyone else in the group is experiencing the same thing. I hate negative post about vaping but im freakin scared at the moment. I usually have insurance and barely use it. this year work was light so i lost it. I make too much for obama care and too little to afford my own.

Swollen lymph nodes are not something that should or can be diagnosed over the internet.

Swollen lymph nodes are a sign that something is wrong in your body. This should be combined with a complete blood profile with white blood cell count, etc.

It could be a virus, a low grade infection, etc. Swollen lymph nodes are NOT usually caused by allergies.

You can probably test that by taking a histamine blocker like benadyl. Once a histamine reponse is blocked, there is little chance of inflammation getting thru that (at least temporariily) because your body will not be able to produce much of a histamine/allegenic reaction on benadryl.

I've spent more time in immunologist/allergist offices than most people so I do know some stuff.

All that said: 3 months is a long time to have swollen lymph nodes but only someone trained to palpitate them (to see if they are hardened, fixed in place, moveable, etc.) can

If you do not have insurance then you should go to your local DHS and see if you qualify for medicaid. You should also at least get to a walk in clinic........you can ration food, ration gas, and ration vape stuff but your health is always the most important thing.

The blood tests will be sent to a lab, and you can pay THAT bill off month by month.

You did not say where they were but ANY low grade infection can cause this, even a bad tooth. It could be in sinus, or anywhere in your body. Please don't be "scared to death". Very few swollen lymph nodes are cancer. :) Most usually this is something that needs to be fixed with anti-biotics.

You do not want to mess w/your lymph system, it is your #1 immune system defense.

Please, do go see a doctor. :) Find a "doc-in-the-box" and just go. Soon.

TL DR Your lymph nodes became swollen somethig like 3 months after you'd been vaping, so I don't see direct correlation there. Clinics can do simple blood tests for causes such as Mono; even drinking too much makes mine more swollen

I have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck for the past 8 years. I did have blood tests by a doctor. Irritants and allergens can cause them, not just infections. I got Mono when they first became swollen, and a certain white blood cell count of mine is still high. When my allergies act up, they are bigger. My nodes are way smaller now that I don't smoke...caffeine can even have an impact on them. When I get sick with a cold, one may become so swollen that it makes it painful to swallow. I even had a fine-needle aspiration biopsy to rule out lymphoma. Find a clinic or something!

Mine have been swollen for years as well. And I've had the biopsy to rule out lymphoma. I have a chronic sinus infection and allergies. And, yes, a cold or other infection can make them extremely painful, and it can make swallowing more difficult.

Please don't mess around, 'Git 'er done'.

Yeah, anecdotal information is not helpful here. If you have swollen lymph nodes, you need to find out why YOU have them.

The fact that other people have them, for whatever reason, is not going to be at all helpful to your situation. You NEED a diagnosis.

I had the same reaction to PG. Initially they swelled so much it became annoying to swallow. Switched to max VG, went away. Tried PG again some time later, first day some small reaction then everything was fine. Last batch i made is 40pg 60vg, no throat or lymph issues. Oh and yeah, im pretty sure it was pg related (directly felt a difference in my throat after a few drags).

Yeah, you really need to get it checked out. Maybe you can find a free clinic in the area. I realize it's not easy, but as others have said, it could very well have nothing to do with vaping; in which case you may have something that needs fixing.

I think it could be PG as well or the flavor. I noticed that I had a similar reaction to Raspberry flavors, but it gave bumps on my throat. I'm pretty sure I have an allergy to it. But this sounds more severe.

But really, get it checked out. Not to go overboard, (you're already freaked out) but people do die from strep throat. So you want to make sure to eliminate that or something like it. No need to stress, just go to a doctor. Yelp your area for walk in clinics, and it may run you the price of a mod....but let's face it, one less mod and none of us would ever notice.

I thought at one time I had the same, mine was actually clogged pores. I assume it is because I vape high VG and it can leave a film. Still happens from time to time but doesn't last for months.

I would get tests done and change liquids and/or flavor. If you're going to stick with diy get supplies from a different place and try different brand of concentrates. If the tests come back with no conclusion.

Again, Get to your doctor.
Almost every few days someone comes on here, claiming that vaping is causing their hand to swell, or their head to pound, or 10000 other conditions that dont seem to have any relation to vaping.
If it is caused by vaping, it would be an allergy or something specific to you, therefore, we also wouldnt be able to say anything about it.
Go to a doctor.

It may or may not be vaping...nobody here can say either way. Only a doctor can answer that question through testing. If it were me and the test came back fine, then clearly it is something your vaping that is not agreeing with you. I would go ahead now and start experimenting in the mean time to see if you can find any possible triggers while trying to get in to see a doctor. Ya know something i always worry about is getting some type of resistant bacteria in my tanks that isn't so easily removed or responsive to the anti bacterial effects of PG/VG. Might want to try a whole new tank setup while your working out seeing a doctor. I admit this would be a unlikely cause...but you never know.

Worst case scenario, if you can't see a doctor by any other means... go to an emergency room. They cannot refuse to treat you, solely on the basis of money/insurance. If it's not a life-threatening emergency, you may have to wait a while, but at least you will be seen. They will also work with you afterward, to get the bill paid -- it will be high, because emergency services are always overpriced, but if you're lower income and have no insurance, they do have "charity" designations. This is the only reason I didn't die of appendicitis in 2014, though I've had no insurance since 2006.
