Hello all,

So i got my Istick Pico Pro today. I ordered it on Ebay. Yes I know a lot of fakes going around and my own fault if it is fake. and was meant to be New: "A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging"

I am from the UK and ordered it from a UK dealer. He had 2934 feedback and only 2 negitive (over a year ago and nothing to do with fake items) but he seems to only sells vaping products. from eleaf Istick 100W box modes to UWell Crown tanks (Not sure if I can post a link to his shop on here or not).

When I opened the package up to see the Box that it comes in. I notice it did not have the see through plastic covering the box. So I thought I would check the security sticker and scratch off the bit and chick it on there website and you guessed it, it is missing but you can see where it was. the items feels and looks like it should.

Is there any other way to check if this time is genuine?

I have contacted the Seller and conatcted eleafworld.co.uk but sins the weekend is coming up and I am not sure if anyone will get back to me till Monday.

Thanks
P.S at the moment i have not turned the item on yet.

This is what the guy said

"I can open device and check serial number which proof as well is real. I do have eleaf products with stickers but sup-player ask me to remove before I do post becasue he is not allow to sell to UK"

He also said he can send me photos of the stickers on other items which I said did not show if my item is real or not.

He also said he opens the items up to make sure they are not damaged and some people have been sending him old items back that are broken.

I have the feeling they are real items he sells but the way he is doing it is wrong.

I am going to return the item for a refund and buy one from a retailer for this item.

Thought I would show u what he said.
This makes me think they are using the stickers on fake items.

Your Ebay Seller purchases from a China Wholesaler, not factory direct. They have to remove to sticker as there is no Factory Warranty.
Likely the unit is real, but any warranty is between you and seller.
Fasttech also does this, but I trust their personal warranty.........not an Ebay sellers.

Innoking, joyetech, kanger, whoever - they all want to sort of protect their authorized dealers.
Authorized dealers get their certifiable genuine stuff. Setback is that it's almost like franchsising - they even tell you what retail price you're supposed to charge your customers. Might sound good as you've got a fixed foreseeable margin. Will be bad if there's another five vape shops in the area competing with you.
Workaround is wholesalers who remove the authentification stickers to prevent the wares getting traced back to them if they feed them to non-authorized retailers.

Depending on what you buy, serial numbers are sometime on stickers inside the user manuals as well. To get these removed they have to open the boxes of course.

Very likely it's the real thing, albeit sans factory warranty.
Means the vendor bears the risk/costs for replacing/refunding if it zonks out in the warranty period.

The guy said he would do 3months warranty on it. In the uk it should be 12months.
Also found out there is only one retail in the uk that is allowed to sell it. Wicked viper or something.
Would rather make sure it is real and don't mind spending a bit extra.

Does anyone know when the full black one is on sale?

I got mine from Vape NW iStick Pico Kit by Eleaf $29.99 - Box MODS - MOD / PV'S in the US. They seem to do some international shipping, but don't say they ship to UK. You might try asking them if they could ship to you if the UK will allow you to import the Pico. Have you tried contacting the UK authorised vendor to see if they have, or can order one for you?

I would never buy vaping stuff from eBay but that's just me. Pretty well all vaping goods on eBay are sourced from some unknown Chinese suppliers so why not go through a place like FastTech which is guaranteed to be authentic if it says authentic.

FT says on many items that they are authentic but somewhere in the small print it also says that the authentication stickers have been removed. So they're in the same 'game'.
Sure, I could get the same prices from the manufacturers - if I order like 40 or 50 units at once...
But me just consumer, am good with a set at a time :)

Yes they remove the stickers but they are definitely authentic. Ebay is a complete guess on everything.

Its fine...More than likely he orders them from Fasttech and then resells them for a few bucks profit. Just use it and vape on. Plus, who is cloning a $30 device? I would trust that you got the real thing. Stop overthinking it and just enjoy.

You can buy clone RAT1s. It's a $20 pocket knife.
I say if OP is that worried about it spend a couple extra pence and get a real one with a sticker and warranty.

Almost certainly the seller is buying from FT and then reselling via Eaby.
The 'security' sticker would be removed by the original seller (FT et al). Opening the box to test the goods is just good practice - it's what i do when i order for friends/family.
As far as i am aware the Pico (there's no such thing as a Pico Pro) has not been cloned so what you have is a genuine product without the eleaf warranty. In my experience Chinese warranties are not worth the paper they are printed on. The rights you have as an Ebay buyer are better than an Eleaf 'warranty'.
Do what you feel is best for you. Maybe look at ordering direct from FT in the future and cutting out one of the middle men.....

Hello all. thought i would update you.
I have sent my Box back to the seller for a full refund.
i have already sourced the Full Black(new colour) Pico at @ around £40 only £3-5 more then ebay and if from an approved retailer. I may change my mind and buy 2-3 in the US from the links you guys have given me as it works out to be around the same price as one in the UK. but the waiting time I may not like.

Edit. sorry the link i found where from another post and fasttech (from this post). something like $28. so around `£15-18 per box mod Plus shipping
