hi all i am new here i have ipv8 mod and i have problem with the - button it don't work dose some one know how i can repair it since no repair shop near
I don't have that knowledge in detail but they can be taken apart with the right tools, carefully not to dislodge any wires or boards, and contacts can be cleaned with alcohol. It could be that old juice got inside and gunked up the contact for that button. It could be more than gunk though, "broken" contact, and if that's the case you are probably better off replacing than repairing.
You could try dripping a drop or two of alcohol on the button with the batteries out and let it soak in, hit the button a few times to try to work out any gunk. Let it dry thouroughly and see if it works then.

If you aren't mechanically inclined (although I do think cleaning the button might be useful if it has gotten stuck with eliquid) you might try a brick and mortar or two for help, some do have sort of electronics experts who can help you sort things out.

If it's under warranty and you can't figure it out, you certainly may be able to return it and replacement.

Good luck. Which button is it?

Could fill in your location, it may help you in obtaining location specific information to your question(s).
On the top right hand corner of this post you will find --"your name" next to "Inbox and Alerts"
Place the mouse pointer on your name. You will get a drop down and on the left hand side of this drop down you will find "Personal Details". Click Personal Details.
In Personal Details, in middle of screen in gray, you will find "Location" Could fill that box line in.

I've had mine apart before and the button is just a standard tactile SMD switch. If you don't have any experience soldering surface mount devices, I would suggest you find someone with good soldering skills to change it.

You can try spraying the switch with contact cleaner first to see if that helps, but they usually need to be replaced. It could also be the chip itself and actually not the switch, some basic board level troubleshooting would rule out the if the switch is the problem.

Good Luck!

DJlsb has it taken apart in his review, it you watch how he puts it back together you can reverse that to learn how it comes apart.

Video is cued up at that section.

This thread makes me sad. I still have 2 ipv8s with blue crackle finish on a shelf. One was smashed on the ground breaking battery door and dislodged 510 connector, the other shorts out occasionally so I stopped using it. About the smallest, prettiest 2 battery mod I've seen.... Miss em.

You just need to take the battery door and 510 from the one that shorts to repair the other one. ;)

Nice idea but not feasible with the way it's broken, unfortunately.
Maybe I can find superman and get him to fly around the world and reverse time. That would work...
