Honestly both coils are fine. I actually run mine almost open. Coils LAST, that's for sure.

I didn't notice a huge difference other than the 1.6 has a break in period. I WILL SAY I have some questions:

How the heck does that tank produce so much "cloud" while being REALLY unthirsty.

Also, I have NO clue how they last so LONG either. I'm on the 0.8 coil at the moment so say in 6 months, I will go back and reevaluate the 1.6 one :D. I have a feeling I'd enjoy it more restricted than the 0.8.

Still massive clouds (comparatively) coil life for years, and very nice flavor.

Is the new coil a Tc capable coil?

The Innokin T22 is another "unthirsty" tank that does reasonable clouds!
How long are your coils lasting!?!? 6months?

How does a sub ohm coil like the 0.8 even match up with this tank??

MTL is primarily about airflow, not ohms. My coils are typically above 1.0 ohm, but the odd time I've built in the 0.6 to 0.9 range. Not a great deal of difference, to be honest. Adjust your wattage correctly, and the vapes can be made similar. That is, just because innokin says to run the 0.8 at higher wattage, I'm willing to bet it performs just as well within the wattage range of the 1.6.

I bought it for it being a mtl tank. Mtl for me means higher ohms as well as tighter draw. Haven't even tried the 0.8 nor will I be trying the new 0.5.

I use the 0.7 in the Naut2 and Ijoy Elf @ 12-14watts and mtl and used the 0.8 in the zenith on similar watts. The cool thing about the sub ohm coils in any of these tanks is the ability to up the wattage and take a warmer hit for a few during the day then wind the watts back down and just cruise with it.
Non of these tanks spit or gurgle very much at all if you vape the lower ohm coils on lower watts.
Im kind of hanging out for my 1.6 coil to end so I can re try the 0.8 again for a slightly warmer mtl vape.
I may have to just ditch the 1.6 coil if Im reading @stols001 's post right instead of waiting for it to fail.

I'm kind of kidding. Although, could not get my first coil to die, I even ran a bunch of commercial juice through it. I'm pretty sure it was 6 weeks or longer. I do also do stuff to maximize coil life, and rotating my setups but yes, I think it will be different for everyone.

I've just started vaping from being a rollie smoker and weed smoker and have bought myself one of these and also a herb vape to cover all my needs. The bloke in the shop put the 1.6 in for me but it wasn't giving a nice enough hit for me at 14w, so after 3 weeks I replaced it with the 0.8 at 18w and its much better. I use it with 4 holes open. Gonna try the 0.5 at 19w when i need to replace.

I'm at 2 months on a 1.6.

No desire to try the other type.

You're right Anna, those things put out some puffage while the juice seems to multiply (unless it does an occasional mystery leak). There are random times the air chamber is full of juice. Rare and random so I have no idea why it happens.

I like the 1.6 coils, they are pretty indestructible! I seem to get about 6 weeks out of them. Ive never had one go bad and deliver only dry hits, I just get to six weeks and change it because I think I should, about 140ml of juice, I guess.

I just went through a kinda frantic episode and pulled out every tank I have, recoiled/rewicked and vaped up large going through them all and fine tuning watts and airflow.
At the end of it a SS Zenith with a 1.6 coil came out on top for ease of use. IJoy Elf is also a favourite but at only 2ml capacity, less coil longevity and the messy coil change it falls short.

I have a weird question about my Zenith tank, probably should of started a new thread about it but oh well..Here is my Q: Why do my Zenith tanks turn my eJuice dark after just minutes? They stay fine and clear in ALL my other tanks (Naut, Kayfun, Kanger TopTank etc) but not in my Zenith's two tanks (black and Stainless) new coils or old coils it all the same. I have tried cleaning them, same result.

I know its just the sweetener changing color (or so i have been told) by why only in my Zeniths?

btw: i like the 1.6 coil the best.

My juices do darken up sometimes, not in minutes, but perhaps more so than other tanks I have, come to think.

I can only think of a couple possibilities a) it's that MONSTER of a coil, l mean it's huge, and it's heating up more than we realize although seriously, seems to me my tanks don't really heat up at all.

I guess the alternate possibility is that since it is so "unthirsty" like, your juice is just sitting around getting vaporized FOREVER.

That does not make a ton of sense to me because my doggy style tanks are equally unthirsty, and the liquid stays normal colored, etc.

Who. Knows. If I were to ask myself every question about vaping I ever had, my head would probably explode.
