► Innokin Z Pod Nano; Portable, Practical, Lovely:
I received two different colors of the Z Pod Nano from Innokin for this test, both of which are lovely. Z Nano full Black appears slightly more serious and elegant in its single-color livery. The other color of the Z Nano is simply called "Red" but in reality it is an adorable two-tone combination between red and black. The decorative writing on the body of Z Nano is small and not very invasive; "Innokin" on the back and "Z Pod Nano" on the front. Interestingly, the Z Nano has no visible airflow or flow regulation system on its body. The passage of air drops due to interference between the cartridge and the walls of the Mod, the flow passes through the ducts present on the bottom of the compartment/pod to reach and feed the coil through the exclusive air regulation system present on the bottom of the cartridge which we will see later.
On the front of the Mod there is a single button that looks like the Fire button, but in reality it is the MODE button, and it is the only button present, in fact the Z Nano activates only automatically. Using the button you can turn the mod on/off with 3 clicks. Or with 2 clicks you can vary the power from 6 to 15W with fine adjustment of 0.5W at a time. Below the adjustment button you immediately notice the vertical Oled Display which clearly shows the main Vape data through bright fonts such as; battery charge level, duration of the last puff, and set power. Furthermore, the intelligent chipset of Z Nano communicates with the display and when you insert a new cartridge the relative Ohm value is shown, so the chip automatically calculates and sets the best power for each coil.
On the top of the device there is an "L" shaped structure which facilitates the positioning of the cartridge in the compartment and guarantees a strong magnetic attraction to the hard plastic cover with which the Z Nano is equipped. The cover has 2 opposing windows to allow the user to optimally view the internal e-liquid level. This solution makes the Z Nano nicer to look at, and effectively isolates the cartridge from dust for cleaner vaping. Furthermore, when you remove the cover you can comfortably refill e-liquid without removing the cartridge from the Mod. Inside the compartment/pod you can see; two spring-loaded electrical contacts, two strong magnets and the sensor for automatic extraction.
► Innokin Z Pod Nano; Innovative Cartridge:
The Z Pod Nano Kit includes two different MTL cartridges from the Platform disposable series, one 0.8Ω and the other 1.2Ω. These cartridges are refillable up to 2ml through a silicone rubber, their excellent transparency always guarantees optimal visual control on the internal level of e-liquid. The driptip is integrated into the cartridge and is not replaceable, however it has a comfortable shape for the lips, the small internal chimney hole is 100% compatible with MTL vaping.
Each cartridge has a practical and very functional air flow regulation system on the bottom, let's see what it is. On the bottom there are two holes, one of these holes is calibrated and is really tiny in size, this hole always remains open and when used alone it guarantees really tight MTL extractions, especially in combination with the 1.2Ω cartridge. Through a small sliding button it is possible to partialize or completely open a second hole of larger dimensions than the first hole. With this second option you can adjust the aperture for a smooth and open RDL shot, or you can partial the flow for a narrow RDL shot.
Z Nano cartridges can be purchased as replacements in packs of two pcs each.
► Innokin Z Pod Nano; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
The liquid I chose for this test was "Crispy Puft" diluted at 10% in a 50:50 VG/PG base with 3mg/ml boost. The cartridge with 0.8Ω internal resistance is activated and automatically set to 13W by the intelligent chipset. This seems like the ideal choice to get a hot and aggressive MTL vape in the throat, full of flavor, strong hit and full-bodied clouds. The flavor consistency, the perceived heat of the vapor, are all parameters balanced using the cartridge with 1.2Ω internal resistance which is automatically set to 10W. With both of these cartridges the air flow can be customized, regulated in a restricted way or left completely open, in any case the puff seems to me to be well calibrated and well related to the selected power, the steam delivery is always fluid and spitting-free , condensation is absent and the pod compartment was always dry during my long test. Innokin Z Pod Nano manages the internal battery charge very well and if you are not a compulsive vaper the charge level could be enough for you all day. Lately Innokin has been producing several interesting pod kits that work very well. Z Pod Nano is truly eye-catching in its pastel colors, the device is well finished and its dimensions are super pocket-sized. The selling price of Innokin Z Pod Nano is very very popular, this is really great news because this is really a kit that offers everything you need to quit smoking successfully and economically.
