I never really understood how important the mouthpiece was until today.
When i started vaping 2 months ago i received all these carts and mouth pieces from janty.
As time went on, i kept these, and used them on other 801 atty's. (Totally wicked 801 atty's and BE112 atty's)

The reason I continued using the janty mouthpiece was that it fits loosely in other atty's, so it was easy to remove and drip.

I discarded all the tighter fitting mouthpieces because they were difficult to remove. Especially while driving a car.

Today i discovered that a loose mouthpiece is the number one reason for not getting any vapor, and probably the main reason for burning out atomizers.

When you have a loose mouthpiece you are basically sucking most of the air from the outside back into your mouth.
The vapor is minimal, and you are not drawing the air through the atomizer.

I believe this may be reason why I kept frying atty's.

In a nutshell, make sure that the mouth piece is tight inside the atty. This will ensure that any air you are sucking has to pass through the atomizer.

This will guarantee a huge increase in vapor (if the mouthpiece was loose) and will ensure that atty's do not burn out so often.

A loose mouthpiece is like a vicious circle.
I repeatedly kept pushing the button and sucking like a ......, and was not getting the hit and vapor necessary.
So atty gets hot and burns out.

Then the vicious circle continues, because since there is little vapor, one thinks that liquid is lacking. So one adds more liquid, and the atty starts drowning, and needs to be blown out.

I'm quite embarrassed that it has taken me 12 weeks of vaping to discover this.

Jeese, how loose was your mouthpiece? Seems like it would fall out if loose enough to suck air around it.

I use 901 whistle tips on both my 901 and my 510. If I try to put a tip previously used on my 510 on a 901 it is loose enough to fall out so I keep them seperate. I guess I can see your point, but never tried it 'cause I don't like loose tips...

You are not along!

It's just simply a coincidence that I too, just today, decided to replace my very loose cartridge for BE112 801.

WTF, What a difference!

BTW, the cartridge for BE112 came from the same company, BestEcig.

Replaced the old one with the new rubber tip cartridge (different manufacturer) and ... just wow!

This may just be more prevalent on the penstyle atty's, due to the range of different manufacturers. I have 2 different brand atty's that I use, and 3 different mouthpieces. One of them is a very tight fit (almost too tight to remove!) and they came as a pair when I bought them.

Either way, I too have noticed an increase in vapor by using a mouthpiece with a nice tight fit into the atty, this is my preference. I guess sometimes we're so busy looking at other things, we don't think of the simple things :p

It doesn't help that my main PV is on the fritz at the moment, so I'm constantly playing "ok, whats wrong now!".
