Hello everyone,

I've been using:

7/10 - GOOD (sometimes)
subox Mini from Kanger (Kbox Mini + Subtank)
- Can't go more than 22W without spitback, big pops & crackles. (w/ OCCs & rba, 0.3-0.6, 0-3mg nic)

5/10 - AVERAGE
IJust 2 from eleaf
- Tried all their coils, still at least some spitback, UNLESS I use only VG (no flavor, no nic, just base) OR I do the "pre-fire button, bring to mouth and blow/exhale 1s, then draw/vape/inhale" trick.

2/10 - GARBAGE
IJust S from Eleaf
- I don't want to go there really. If you like firecrackers and drinking ejuice, go for it!

I'm looking for:

A setup that allows me to vape (not drink) ejuice and is sub-ohm. I like 0-6 nic, 0.1-0.6ohms, can build RBAs, can make my own juice, I have money (don't care at this point, I just want to vape).

Maybe an upgrade from my Kanger Subox mini kit? Could be any brand.

Which brand/kit/mod/etc has the BEST build quality? Give me Job's Apple build quality, not ***** please.

People recommended I take a look at Wismec 2/3 and TFV8, thoughts on this? I'm new to TC and stuff.

Thanks for reading guys!

For a second I thought you meant your tanks were drinking juice lol.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. The Smok Alien kit with Big Baby Beast/Baby Beast tank might be ideal for you in this situtaion. You will definitely see a marked improvement in your vaping experience. Buy a silicone sleeve for it as well if you plan on pocketing it regularly, as I'm not 100% sure if they've worked out paint issues.

If you want something REALLY 'iphone-esque' there are the Lost Vape Therion mods, to which you can add a subtank of your choice. You can pick up an Aspire Cleito tank along with the rebuildable deck. It's a versatile system: you can use premade coils or swap the rebuildable deck in and install your own coils. It's a cloud chucking flavor machine with that deck installed. With TC coils, that Therion will give you a fantastic vape.

There are also classic tanks, like the Sense Herakles and Uwell Crown, both of which give a great vape. The TFV8 RX 2/3 setup you mentioned is excellent as well, and rebuiding on that RBA is a breeze.

Mongo covered it quite well. Certainly if you want to get into TC, a DNA based board is an excellent, reliable solution. The Therion is just a flat out beautiful looking and feeling mod. More than enough power for anything other than ludicrous builds, holds a 25 mm tank with no overhang (me, I hate overhang) and with a variety of replacement leather backs, it's a very luxury design.

The problem is more with tanks. You want subohm, but not specifying whether it's for cloud chasing or flavor. clarifying that is vital to making the right choices. I would also recommend that rather than try to find a subohm tank with great coils and a great RBA is just separate the two. RBAs are almost always a compromise. They're not nearly as easy to build on, or perform near a dedicated RTA. You really are better of with a good, solid subohm that takes factory coils (if you must, there are good arguments to skip those altogether, from expense to performance) and a well regarded RTA. That will provide maximum flexibility.

For something a step below a Therion, an Alien is worthy of consideration (I have one and quite like it, also my finish has been just fine), as well as a G Priv (touchscreen if you like that sort of thing). However, neither will give you the TC performance of a DNA board. To help in decision making, be aware to get the most from a DNA board, you should be able to use the included eScribe software, which provides oodles of customization, but it is Win only.

Hello!
Just got the tfv8 beast over the weekend and I love it. So far I've gone through about 30ml of juice and no spit back or leaks! I do recommend that but also I highly recommend the avocado 24 Rdta. It's a dripper with a tank, you can buy pre-made coils for it anywhere online or vape shops. To top, cotton is cheap, and I've never had any issues with mine.

Eh, I personally do not recommend the cleito. For me it leaked and would literally end up with juice in my mouth at times. Though the rba was a good idea, but at least for me it would always create a vacuum so whenever I opened the top to refill, juice would come out the airflow. Just my expirience though.

I'd get the vapewiz pollux 25 kit or the UD Athlon 22 tank and a mod... youde/vapewiz always has high quality products. The coils are interchangeable between those two...

They are working on a rba for it too but it hasn't been released yet.

There are pile of reviews on both out there that aren't from paid reviewers...

Nice clouds. 0.2 and 0.5 coils but it doesn't suck back juice.

Hmmm, I like the Cleito, no leaking (I close the airflow before refilling) or spit back in many months of use for me... :D

Not to come across as a bit abrasive but there are literally thousands who use the same attys and have no problems. The only time I've had spitback from a atty is the CE4 clearos of days gone by who's coil was at the top of the atty real close to the mouthpiece . Maybe your pulling too hard with a coil that isn't completely hot enough to vaporize juice, instead your vacuuming juice into your mouth. A RDA IMO isn't going to solve your spitback since the coil is higher and RDA's tend to spit more than tanks. Maybe lay a piece of silica across the coil could help or twisted cotton. Once you get into fancy multiwire builds or building with 26 gauge or lower there should be some ramp up time for the coil to heat before you pull on it, even 28 gauge needs a bit of ramp up time. I use the subtank mini with the RBA(.4ohm -1.6ohm coils)( single and multiwire builds) so I blow down till you see a nice plumb come out of the airflow then pull up, not pull hard just let the hitter do the work.
Vaping is a technique that if you draw on a hitter like you did with a smoke then your going to pull juice up the atty since vacuum is the main component that draws the juice into the wick, too much/hard draw=too much juice.
If it flooding or leaking thats a whole new ballgame that has oodles of variables to why.

Alien with a Big Baby Beast RBA. Problem solved.

My daily setup for the past 6 months (Just moved onto the GX350) but will still keep my Alien and still use it.

The paint issue is now resolved unless you go for a used early model.

A great versatile setup with no real drawbacks. RBA is a breeze to build on and provides great flavour with 0 leaks (Provided you wick it right) and no dry hits. In 6 months never had spit back once with either RBA or Smok coils.

The Baby Beast is just as good but has slightly less airflow and tank capacity.

Both the I just 2 and I just S tanks have the coil in a direct line to the drip tip. Any popping, and the juice has a direct line towards the 510. Even though it's a vertical coil which helps some, it doesn't eliminate it.

First, I'd go with a true dual coil design. Like what corey said, the Baby beast/Beast tanks are one of the top tanks ATM. you can get a quad coil setup.. and unless juice can go around corners twice, it shouldn't spit back into the drip tip.

Griffin series... Those are my go to devices. I am not a serious sub ohmer (.7 ohms for me), but I've had no problems with them... or any dual coil setup. Plenty of versions out there.

BTW, I'm an Android fan. :) I am not a big fan of the Ijust series.. A friend of mine had an Ijust... dropped and cracked the glass... I thought the glass was replaceable, but not so. So just for that reason, I don't recommend it. Metal was thin as well.

^^^that's exactly right. The Cleitos tend to create large vacuum's, and if you fill without closing the airflow it leaks like a sieve.

I never close the airflow before refilling the tank, I had no issues with leaking. It works very good with me.
But always getting some spitback when the coil is cold and haven't vape on it for 2+ hrs.

I used the .4 coil too, and that also dribbled. The .16 in the Cleito 120 also dribbled. Guess I bought a pair of dribblers when I should have used an Avocado from the get go....
