I am new to vaping... just started on the 4th... went out and bought an ijoy capo 100... Its a nice unit but my only complaint with it is I go through sooooo many coils. I go through 1 every 1-3 days. Why is this? Are there different brand coils I can use instead? Help me out! This is getting pretty pricey! I only have my watts set between 30-40w.

Coil life depends on a lot of factors, including type of juice used (often, sweet or dark juices gunk coils, as does NET juices, high VG content juices and etc.) Airflow can play a role, and the higher the wattage used, often, the lower the life of the coil. It also depends on how much you are vaping, not number of days that pass....

The only way I know of to save on coil costs is to consider building your own coils. You are fairly new to vaping and also, coilbuilding and using a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer takes time and preparation, but it is a savings in the long run. If you are interested, you could head over to those set of forums and check out some pinned threads to see if it's for you. Or, if you want to save money elsewhere, you could look at the DIY e-liquid forum as DIY does save money after startup costs.

Some coils seem to last longer than others, but I don't vape sub0hm so I'm not much use to you there.

Good luck,

Anna

I've tried multiple sub 0hm tanks and all of em had coils that lasted at least 1 week (except the Crown III those lasted 2-3 weeks each, and yes they are that good lol) i've gotten some dud which lasted only couple days but like anna said it depends on a multitude of factors. Reading Op's description though i doubt he's doing something wrong, unless his juice is a very dark/gunky type of liquids, but that's why i myself switched to rebuildables no hassle just change that cotton from time to time and keep vaping the rest. Of course i'm not a low wattage guy (50-60 watts +) so your results may vary, but if your mod goes at least 100 watts you can pretty much use anything but beware of battery life if you go higher than that 30-40 watts as the higher your power the less time your batteries lasts.

OK so I'm going to stick with my capo 100 for now... found a way to clean out the coils and it actually works and helps out when I don't have new ones... but I have also found that all the shops around me sell 3 coils for 15.00.... well I got on a new website that has my coils 3 for 7.50 with free shipping directvapor.com have had no problems with getting any of my stuff... took about 5 days.

Hi and welcome. If you are using gunky juices-- sweet and dark colored juices are famous for killing coils-- 1-3 days isn't unusual. The real cure for this is build your won coils in an RTA/RDA. This is much cheaper. A halfway step is buying them online as you can buy bulk and get better pricing. Beware from whom you buy; you can also get cheap knock-off coils that don't last. Welcome to the board.
