Hello :) Hopefully you're not talking about using actual grape juice. You want to use concentrated food flavorings. Some brand names are The Perfumer's apprentice, Flavor west, and LorAnn's. You use propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerine. You can also add liquid nicotine. It comes in a VG or PG base. Some vendors give you the option of both. Spend some time reading here DIY E-Liquid if you're serious about diy.

can i make e-liquid at home? such as... mix my grape juice with oil then smoke? like hooka?

Easy DIY:
Buy 24mg 100%PG any flavor.
Add 3 times the volume of USP grade glycerin from the pharmacy.
You end up with 6mg 25/50 PG/VG eliquid.

Real cheap DIY: no nicotine; use glycerin plus water; about 1:8 mix; glycerin by itself is too thick so you have to dilute it.
Better than using water, use PG: Propylene Glycol from.. farm supplies store; might be available from pharmacy.
Check the DIY forum for DIY mix calculators.

if you are serious about DIY do lots and lots reading in the DIY section as posted above. its not as simple as get stuff and do it . its like anything vaping. go through all the stickies and post that you can to make sure you are doing things safely . nicotine can be very dangerous. but long story short heck yeah lots of us do. I love it. I pay pennies on the dollar for the best juices adjusted to my liking.

If you can get a recipe for a flavor you like, what type of prices are you looking at? Could you get the cost down to < $.20 a ml?

If you find a flavor you like from MBV (Mount Baker Vapor) you can almost get ready-mixed juice for this price. I think MBV is around 24 cents per ml when you buy the larger sizes.

DIY can be as low as pennies per ml. It depends though, flavoring is cheap, you'll spend the most on the nic, so it mainly depends on your nic strength as to how inexpensive it'll be. It's still massively less expensive than store-bought liquid whatever you do.

Have a look at the linked DIY forum, it's a whole new world.

I started semi-DIYing with this method. Only downside is you really dilute the flavor. This works particularly well with liquid vendors that allow you to add more flavor shots - just max them out, buy at the highest nic strength and mix to your preferred strength.

I suppose you could even buy ready made flavoring that some vendors sell of their more popular flavors and adjust to taste once you've diluted.

I could get 472mls of juice for around $50 which is a little over 10 cents a ml.

yeah probably once you've got all your supplies

I just bought some DIY supplies on line last night.

One gallon PG (3785 ml)
One gallon VG (3785 ml)
100mg nic base (500 ml)
29 10ml bottle of flavoring (290 ml)

Total damage was about $270, so if I dumped everything into a five gallon bucket, that would add up to about 8360 milliliters.

That works out to about three cents per milliliter. Even assuming 10% waste (spills, failed batches, etc.) that only bumps the cost to about 3.5 cents/ml.

and just in case you missed the post above

DO NOT VAPE OIL OF ANY TYPE

I know some sites refer to eliquid as oil but that is very inaccurate and misleading

Please, please, please read the stickies in the diy subforum before attempting to make your own eliquid

The flavor concentrates available in the baking section of most grocery stores are NOT compatible with vaping as most of these are oil based.

As stated above the correct flavor concentrates are going to be TFA (The Flavor Apprentice), Lorann's, and FW (Flavor West)
The VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and PG (Propylene Glycol) need to be USP and I recommend only using Essential Depot brand (available on Amazon)

In regards to unflavored nicotine base start with a lower concentration (24 or 36 mg) until you are experienced with mixing and get the PG base as this is easier (and safer) to work with than the VG based nic (The nic can separate from the VG and create super concentrated "ribbons" of very high nicotine if not thoroughly mixed before each mixing session)

Bottles, syringes (pipettes are a pain to measure with and to clean) and blunt needles are all available at the flavor suppliers website or on amazon

My preferred vendor is One Stop DIY One Stop DIY Shop

and once again - please read all of the stickies in the DIY subforum before getting started
