hi, I use a quad coil twisted 24g kanthal 10 wrap around 2.5mm diameter for about 0.12ohms at 150w in a velocity clone (tobeco) on a Snowwolf 200w. I use japanesse organic coton and I do my juice myself (around 20% of pgbasedflavor and 80% vg) I got more than enought vape and alot of flavor but Im sure I could get more than this... I tried somes single parallel clapton coil centered on 24-32 khantal, and some more dual paralel or twisted 24g kanthal, I even tried nickel twisted 28g but It got worst with flavors on temp control than anything else...

It seem the more wrap I do at smaller diameter the more flavor i get.
The biggest gage wire give better taste to vape.
More wattage mean hotter tastier and more dense clouds.
I almost close the airflow to get more flavors.
I know I could just add some pg to my mix to get even more flavors but im a big fan of cloud chasing

Now I just dont know what to try anymore ...
If anyone got an idea I would be pleased to hear!

That's a lot of metal to heat up. My guess is unless you are running super high watts, your vape is cool until the coils ramp up fully. I find dual fused Claptons are my most flavorful build to date, they hold a ton of juice just in the coil themselves. I always give them a little exhale puff when they are ramping up before I take a rip.

Personally, I don't get as good of a flavorful vape off of claptons or twisted coils as I get off of a pair of 2.4 ID 22g 5 wrap kanthal coils at around 1.7ish ohms. That's just me, though...

I agree with most of the above. I personally like dual coil parallel builds, mixing up 22 gauge with 24 gauge.

Your build looks smart, but would take a lot of power to ramp up to get the heat to where you need it to be. But then I mostly use mech mods, not an issue on a vw regulated mod.

How do you wick that build.

Wicking is everything.

I gotta say the way to get more flavor. Start with less. The way people are going about the flavor chase these days.. I wonder if they won't be happy with anything short of drinking juice from the bottle.
You don't do Wine or Beer tastings via the Beer shotgun.. You do it a SIP at a time. So why, build a Vapor Shotgun in the quest for good tasting Vapor.

I recommend, if you are building for flavor.. You should do as much as possible with eyes shut. Do not build coils for how they look, before or after use or how the cloud looks. DO NOT build with or for the eye. You will not find the BEST flavor at the extremes of your equiptment. You might find MORE flavor but not the BEST flavor.

3 core 26g/36g (if you only have up to 32g, use 32g) aliens. It's a triple parallel core so there's your clouds and density, plus the alien wrap is just a great flavor build IMO. I primarily use N80 for my builds but I mix in KA1 sometimes. Run duals, shoot for 5-6 wraps on a 3mm.

This is a framed alien track (flattened out like a cat track coil with a hammer) using 24g frames & 4 strands of 30g lightly twisted between them. The alien is also 30g, but it's such a large gauge for a wrap, the only reason I used it is because I had the intentions on hammering it and flattening it out when finished. And I would only use that coil I posted as a a single coil in between the posts build in my hobo v3.1 because the size & resistance would be too low for duals and take way too long to heat up.

I did a little "just for sh**s and giggles" building the other night. I twisted two strands of 26 gauge together with a drill (Kanthal) and wrapped 24 gauge around that. Not the best ramp up time, and I only had enough for one coil, but she vapes good. Taste amazing. I find different builds give me different notes from my juice. I also DIY and a Peanut Butter juice I make, (which is my favorite) does not taste like I want it to taste unless I have it on some claptons.

Going to try and duplicate this for a dual coil and higher gauge when I get some wire in.
