I'm travelling domestically in Canada from Edmonton to Toronto. Can I bring my vape in checked luggage if I store the batteries seperate?

Or should I put it in my carry on? I know your supposed to do that now because of misfiring and short-circuiting. It says you don't have to remove it from your bag at screening, but will they take it out of the case and swab it and make a big deal of it? I'd rather my parents who I'd be travelling with not find out I vape.

Would security see so many nowadays and just pass it through? What are your experiences?

battery must go in carry on, everything else depends on your preference.

Remember to try and empty your tanks before hand, also I would use a ziplock bag or some sort for your juice bottles.

I doubt they'll give you trouble if you store your batteries correctly (silicone sleeve, plastic case, etc) and that they are in your carry on.

I am sure that this doesn't need saying, but if you are using a mod that has a lipo instead of a replaceable battery, make sure that this is also in your carry on luggage. A lot of people don't think of their mods (or ego sticks) as batteries, and they are definitely considered batteries and could be confiscated if in your luggage.

i actually had this issue i went to Toronto...from LAX

first off keep your juice seperate from the tank or w.e depending on who and how serious the person is they may test your juice not alot of ppl know what ejuice is....they took me to the back and took my drip and mixed it with something and said its okay....

keep your juice in your carryon...separate your tank and mod and juice...and they won't bother you about it....keep them together like i did (i had my full mod connected juiced and next to my 100ml ejuice) btw 100ml (3.4oz)is the MAX you can carry i had to fight them to test how much i had too because i i had a 120ml bottle but it was like a quarter down...

anyways just disconnect them keep them all over your carryon and no one will suspect anything if you want to be more on the safe side put your juice in small 30ml bottles with drippers instead of a big bottle like me.

you should be safe if you do that...

and why don't you want your parents to know?

what i did to explain to my parents was i told them i recently started smoking cig's and i got really addicted and i was told by a doctor to try this as an unorthodox way to kick the habitual cycle that analogs give. idk my parents are pretty laid back though...but i'm a full grown ... man even if they weren't happy with that i'd smoke it at the dinner table just to show that LUL...i do what i want!

As already stated...batteries in carry on and safely packaged (sleeves, cases).

Juices in zip lock baggy thingy or packed luggage. (even in my luggage I use a ziplock bag...they leak) I always use store bought printed labeled bottles, even though I mix my own liquid. Figured they'd be more suspicious of my own hand written labels.

Extra tanks are empty, but one in use also in the baggy.

I just flew from Denver to Toronto and just dropped my SX Mini/Nautilus (not emptied) into my carryon. I didn't bother to take it apart and I had no issues whatsoever. Al least one of the X-ray folks will know what a mod looks like as well. The previous week, I kept my mod in my carryon, but put my tank in a ziplock in my checked suitcase.

I would just be careful with batteries and juice. All batteries have to be in your carryon and I wouldn't bring more than a bottle or two of juice.

A filled tank will leak from the air pressure changes. You can carry them on, but they should be inverted if possible, so the air bubble in the tank is by the juice ports, not up at the top of the tank. That way, as the pressure changes flow back and forth from the vape chamber to the tank, it will move air and not juice.

Airlines will only allow you to carry a very small amount of liquid in your carry-on bags, so you want to pack bottles of juice in your checked baggage.

And as others have said .... batteries go in your carry-on.

Having an e-cig filled with juice is ok to carry in your pocket or carry-on bag ... the small amount of juice in an atomizer is of no problem, but again, bottles of juice go in checked bags.

    Liquids Rule
You are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. These are limited to travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. Placing these items in the small bag and separating from your carry-on baggage facilitates the screening process. Pack items that are in containers larger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters in checked baggage.

Any liquid, aerosol, gel, cream or paste that alarms during screening will require additional screening.

Looks like you can carry on as many 100ml bottles, that will fit in a quart size baggie.

Edit: oops, the above only for USA domestic flying.....
