I've been vaping 5% salt nic disposables for a while. I usually get a short nic buzz if I have not hit it for more than a few hours. I spent some time googling to see how much nicotine I'm really getting from 2-3 hits on a 5% disposable. The answers are all over the place.

Is there a reliable formula for comparison? If I have a 3000 puff 5% 6ml vape, assuming 3000 puffs is realistic, how much nicotine would I be getting per puff, and compare that to smoking a full analog, which most say you absorb about 1-2mg of nicotine per cig.

An analog can contain 8mg to 20mg of nicotine, with the average being 12mg. Your disposable theoretically gives you 0.1 mg/puff. In reality, it may be more or less.

    50mg/ml x 6ml ÷3000 puffs = 0.1 mg/puff

Here's the thing, if you Don't know if 3000 Puffs per 6ml 50mg/ml e-Liquid is realistic, you're kinda starting a Guesstimation by guessing. Which we are going to use in a Calculation when we make another Guess down the road.

3000/6ml sounds Way High to Me. That comes out to 500 Hits per 1 ml. And that sounds more like OEM Marketing. How Many Hits do you do in a Day?

How many Days does 6ml of 50mg/ml last? Because there 300mg of Nicotine in that 6ml. So if I Divided how many 300 by How Many Days it Last it would tell me my Intake Nicotine per Day.

Then if I Divided my Intake Nicotine per Day by the Amount of Hits I take (on average) per day, that would tell me my Nicotine Intake per Hit.

(Now comes that 2nd Guess - LOL)

All this above is for Nicotine Intake. And that's Great and can be Relatively Accurate. But you want to know about Absorption. So Now you need a Ballpark Nicotine Absorption Rate for your Hardware and for Your Vaping Style.

As a Best Guess on Jeopardy, I would go with... "What is a 20 to 30% Absorption Rate?". So you are Absorbing a LOT Less Nicotine than you are taking in.

Where did I get that Number? From "studies" in years past on Early Generation Hardware. Which a Disposable probably mimics reasonably.

Now How Accurate is all this. Well... That's kinda a Guess also. But it would seem that one could Reasonably Average how long 6ml of 50mg/ml lasts. And then do the Math with Only the Absorption rate as a real Guess.

Great info, and the same I'd received for many years: it depends. Ultimately I had to experiment with what worked for my biology. You'd think this would be more scientific but... one thing I didn't expect: vapes taste great. So I hit them more. But don't want more nic. So now I have a 0% and a 3% pod when I go out. Where that dual pod system China?! :) :)
