How long should it take for a 510 battery to fully charge?

That's too long, in my opinion. I know with mine, if it's screwed too tight, the green light comes on immediately even if it needs charging. If it's too loose, the green light doesn't come on at all, it just stays red. Try screwing it on just a touch tighter or loosening it just a touch to see if that makes a difference. If that doesn't help, you'll have to wait for someone with more experience to come and post.

Good luck!

Light still not on?

On some, you screw it in and the LED on the end goes on... charges... then goes OFF when charged. Try using it. If there is a red/green LED on the charger, that may be different. RED=charging, Green = done. Colorblind people hate those chargers, I'm told.

Otherwise, make sure it it connecting with the charger... try prying the center posts up with a paperclip or something on both the charger and the e-cig. Be gentle, don't break it.

From ecigcharleston.com receipt: "smok Tech 510 Cartomizer Starter Kit 280 mAh". Both batteries appear to be charging, but there is no way for me to tell when they are fully charged. The blue LED only blinks briefly when I plug it into the charger. When they are charging, there is no blue light on. When they are fully charged and no longer charging, the blue light never comes on.

The charger has a large red LED light, that I don't think ever goes off. There is another smaller LED. RIght now it is yellow or orange. Not sure why that is there....

Over Der
i had the same problem with those stick size batteries in the beginning too,,
my advice,,send it back because it is not charging properly and get your self an EGo riva or something like that in a manual battery, not auto

my ego's take 3-4 or 6-8 hours to charge, depending on weather i am fast or slow charging 600 or 900mah batts

Ack. If I send it back, I have nothing but one gas station mini, haha. This will at least do as a backup when I get another one.

OK. So maybe that 2nd light is a charge indicator? The red one sounds like it's a power light (yes, it's plugged in light).

Since it blinks when you screw it in, it is making a connection. So, give it some time (if you didn't already) and try vaping it.

It definitely does seem to be charging both batteries. They were both dead at one point (ie. refusing to vape when I hit on them), and after charging, they work as expected once again. The question is whether they are reaching full charge or not, and how do I know when they have reached that point?

Try them after the normal 2 hour charging time? If you're starting to vape more now, it'd be good to have several of these or move on to the ego.

Yeah, I don't really want to buy more of these until it proves itself a little bit. The gas station mini's only seem to last about a month or so. Each of these batteries needs to last at least that long, or no way I will buy this same model again. Not sure about buying anything from joy after reading about people having batteries explode while charging.
