How long should 800mah and 2000mah batteries last?

Pretty much what is in the title. I'm new to mechs and it seems like the batteries aren't holding up like I would have thought. I don't have any way to check the voltage but I plan on grabbing a digital multimeter for that purpose.

well, there is really no set time for your batteries to last. There are just to many factors to figure in. Ohm rating of your juice tank, dual coil vs single, chain vaping....so on and so on.

I can tell you what works good for me.

I run two Chi You mechanical mods. Both with Ithakas running single coil at 1.2ohm. I get a full day running the two of them with 18490s in them. So I guess if I ran only one, I would most likely get half a day. Of course, if I run them in dual coil, that would drop a ton.

What are you using on it?

The rule of thumb has always been about an hour per 100 mah, but that's just guesstimate/ballpark. Probably reduce that by 1/2 of your using very low resistance.

i have been switching through tanks beacuase , believe it or not, the performance has been lacking. i have been using a 2.4ohm mini vivi. just bought the smoktech verion of the vivi (the metal sleeve one) at 1.8ohm. pretty airy draw on that one. have been getting good vapor on the minis but it seems to drop off really quickly. I am using them atop the Smoktech Natural mech mod.

i know it is better to run a rda/rba on these but i am not quite comfortable with that as of yet. I know they are running with lower volts to begin with, but i felt like i would get more out of it. I dont know, a little disapointed in it. I like the over all design of them and the comfortability of the mod. i havent sanded down the contact yet. that might make a difference.

any one have better luck with different brand batteries. I heard AW is about as good as it gets.

your lack of performance is directly related to running higher resistance on your mech mod, there is no regulation, and the battery is always dying. in most cases anything above 1.4 1.5 will only be a few hours if not less of good vape time for a mechanical.

just for example I run a .9 ohm coil with a 2900 battery and go two days before the atty isnt putting out.

when using mechanical's the device selection is very important, and must be tuned more for the open battery, with a vv or vw mod you put whatever you want on them and just turn up the voltage. on a mech the battery can only go to 4.2 volts and even then it only stays that high for a few minutes of vaping.

with a 1.8 ohm head your looking at around 3.7 to 4 volts for a good vape and the mechanical will drop below that level fast.
