I'm asking this because I been vaping GRANDMASTER from Five Pawns , The date on the bottle is 02 / 01 / 14 . When I first got the bottle I dripped some into my dual coil nemesis and that taste of peanut butter was strong so I let it steep in my shoe box , about 2-3 weeks ago I started vaping it and the taste of the peanut butter evened out with the banana and now is a great vape for me . Im loving every night vaping this liquid .

Since Five Pawns sends you their bottles in their own container the liquids never leave the dark and have not changed color but the taste seemed to change for the better . Anyone know how long these liquids are good for?

I have ordered a few liquids from "The Vapor Chef " - "Mt Baker " as I let both of these companys e liquids steep they have changed colors something I have noticed my Five Pawns Grandmaster e liquid has not done after 3 months of steeping .

Manufacturers have to put something on the label.
But its pretty much like food. 'Best before' does not necessarily mean it's turned from good to bad within one day past the given date.
Is more like a cover-your-.... thinige in connection with product liability suits.

Bacteria don't like PG anyway, so : take a sniff, take a whiff.

And keep a baseball bat handy near the fridge. Juices may be o.k., but that forgotten yoghurt snapping at my hand --- accelerated evolution, I guess ;)

To be honest im loving five pawns - nice different clean taste . I have a bottle of castle long - gambit - queens side - and new bottle of grandmaster all with dates of 04 / 01 / 2014 all steeping in my shoe box right now , even tho these juices come a month pre steeped already I like to steep them for another month or two for full taste .

Like I said I been vaping a bottle of grand master with the date of 02/01/2014 for last couple weeks at night and im loving how this taste so much better then it tasted day one when I brought it 03/xx/2014.

I was always curious can and does bacteria and or other nasty things grow in a tank with juice in it?

Doubt it, little to no water in e-juice combined with PG which acts as a germicide, and nicotine as well, seems like a very inhospitable environment. 0mg nicotine all VG juice with some added water would probably be most likely, but still probably not very optimal conditions for a few anaerobic bacteria that can ferment glycerin, probably would need to be higher water % than VG I would imagine though.

On another note, I just finished some juice from Oct. 2013 and it was absolutely delicious and it seemed the nicotine strength was still right

You would think. But I wasn't just speaking hypothetically. From experience, if you leave it too long, the juice in your tanks can and does get gross--and by gross, I mean greenish and smelling like algae. The comparatively sterile juice in a bottle is likely to have a much, much longer shelf life. The juice in a tank is open to all kinds of contaminants from your mouth and the environment. It can and does get nasty.

I would be very interested if anyone did some studies into this, what grows and what it metabolizes, what conditions are necessary for growth, what the growth curve looks like, etc. From a microbiology perspective it would certainly be very interesting, like I said above though the conditions seem incredibly bad for microbial growth, I almost have to wonder if it wasn't something else, some sort of reaction product with air or metal or plastic in the tank and not a sign of microbial life. What type of tank did you experience this in and what was the composition of the juice and how long was it in the tank?

Juices can last up to a year and sometimes longer. It depends on how hot u let it get. its best to keep your juice in a cool dry place. Dont leave it out in the sun or let it get real hot.
Another note most places mix your ejuice when u order it. then send it out to you. when u let your juice sit for a while it smooths out.
Like letting a wine sit and mature.
