So, Hostess recently reissued the legendary Suzie-Q. Unfortunately, they're not made from the original recipe.
As a huge fan of the original Susie-Q, I can't even describe how let down I was. Okay, I was ......! Whenever I go to the grocery store, I always check the Hostess rack, just to see what new items they've added? I checked the rack today and found that Hostess has released Chocolate Twinkies! I was never a fan of Twinkies, but these peaked my interest. The image on the box revealed a suspiciously dark brown, moist in appearance, spongy looking cake with a pure white filling... Could it be?
I purchased one box, keeping my fingers crossed the entire way home. Without going into too much detail, let me just say that the new Chocolate Twinkies are in-fact made using the original Susie-Q recipe! I was so overjoyed, that I called Hostess to say thank you. I also let them know what I thought of the revamped Suzie-Q... I recommended that they use the same recipe to make the Chocolate Twinkies and the Susie-Q's.
If you're a fan of the original Susie-Q's, get to your nearest Hostess dealer, and grab a few boxes of Chocolate Twinkies. They rule!
