Hemp Wicking instead of Cotton?

In his video where Pbusardo tested a buncha different wicking materials (organic cotton, Japanese cotton, rayon, and hemp), hemp did pretty poorly when compared to the cottons/rayon. It theoretically could work as a wicking material, but it isn't nearly as effective as other, more commonly used, alternatives.

Exactly the video I was thinking of. It didn't do as bad as cotton in the burn test, but poorly as a wick.
