My favorite RDTA is the steamcrave aromamizer but a lot of people roundly hate the thing. It is monstrously large, famous for using lots of juice, and will leak (a lot. Like “go wash your hands” a lot) if you don’t wick it right AND use its cutoffs. (Plural). It’s the only tank I know of though that can flat out beat any machine made stuff (be it disposables, pods, coil cartridges, or premade coils) with regular ol’ straight wire though. It’s a cloud chasers tank and a flavor chasers tank at the same time. The cost being that it’s huge and uses lots of juice. I DIY though so the using lots of juice thing doesn’t really affect me financially. Carry one around though and it says “I vape” in a pretty indisputable way. The thing is as big as half (or a whole if you use the tank extension) a roll of fifty cent pieces. It won’t fit well on some mods.
If you thought that was confusing wait till you see my post about personal llamas. The best flavor I got was by wicking a steamcrave aromamizer plus with a single big coil using a dual coil deck. That particular device has a gigantic chamber and I filled it. I did a multi ohm coil using a knitting needle for a mandrel and a lot of very thin wire. So thin that the coil collapsed when I pulled the cotton out of it so it was good for one(1) wick. That wick was maybe a quarter inch thick iirc. For DL I Find I prefer exotic coils, and since I don’t especially enjoy making exotic wire I usually just buy the things. They put more surface area on the wire for a given ohm rating which I find helps. I like RDAs so consequently I like squonkers.
