Hellvape sent me a new vaporizer that promises great performance thanks to a postless deck that offers the possibility of installing one coil or two coils on it. Remember the original Fat Rabbit Solo RTA with a diameter of 25mm and its successor Fat Rabbit RTA with a diameter of 28mm? This third version of Fat Rabbit returns to the minimum dimensions (25mm) but maintains the double air regulation system of both predecessors and further implements the internal air flow system with an interlayer honeycomb design for a greater increase in flavor. On the Top Cap we find the first of the two AFC (Top Airflow) rings which is equipped with two slots with relative rotation stops, the ring during adjustment easily maintains the set position thanks to a good opposition force to the movement. The two large slots convey the airflow from top to bottom and through a 36-hole arrangement they abundantly invest the resistors or the resistor with air depending on the choice. On the lower ring (Bottom Air-flow) we find two opposing slots (12x3mm). This ring also has rotation stops and opposes the right contrasting force to its adjustment. The two lower slots convey the air below the Coil completing the work. The Top Airflow + Bottom Airflow combination is technically the best solution to invest the surface of the coils or the coil with air as widely as possible depending on the choice. This double aeration solution offers the user various combinations of adjustment of the two rings; All up, all down, or through the combined action high + low.

A very important factor when choosing a new RTA Tank is its size, and the choice of the Mod to match it. Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA has a not excessive base diameter (25mm) and this makes it compatible with a wide range of Box Mods. A classic Dual Battery Mod is certainly suitable to unleash the full potential of Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA without problems, however to facilitate handling I find its combination with the more compact 21700 MODs extremely pleasant.

The rich equipment, the remarkable structural solidity, the high performance and the good construction level are those high standards to which Hellvape has now accustomed me. I admit, I am always quite excited when I receive a new product from this brand. Hellvape sent me two different colors of Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA, both versions are equipped with bright and robust paint. The sturdy 304 stainless steel construction of the tank has a comfortable knurling for the top-cap and the same workmanship on the AFC rings, these processes give a notable grip to the fingers during disassembly and air adjustment.

The 810 type drip-tip has no sealing rings, the oring is directly housed inside the Top-Cap which has a knurled external surface for a better grip. The opening for refilling is of the rapid type and occurs with only 1/4 of a turn. The huge refill slots are part of a single block, the funnel shape favors the descent of the liquid inside the tank without the risk of overflows or dirtying your fingers. Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA comes with a straight glass that offers a standard capacity of 3ml, while with the supplied domed glass you can obtain up to 5ml of capacity.

The Fat Rabbit 2 tank can be dismantled into a sufficient number of pieces to perform cleaning operations well. On the bottom you can see the gold-plated adjustable pin and the various identifying writings. The postless deck has a rather large surface and classic slotted screws are provided for inserting the coils.

Using the supplied toolkit it is possible to choose the cutting size of the legs and then correctly insert the resistors on the postless deck. You can choose to install two coils or one coil, in case you choose to install two coils; Hellvape recommends a maximum diameter of 2.5mm, while if you want to install only one coil Hellvape recommends a coil diameter between 3 and 4mm.

For the rebuild I installed the pre-assembled NI80 0.37Ω coil included in the kit, and I used the cotton string provided by Hellvape. The rebuild on the Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA is really simple and intuitive; just pay attention to the right amount of cotton to fill the slots; with too much cotton you lose flavor quality and suffocate the performance. With too little cotton you risk losing e-liquid from the lower slots. However, with a minimum of experience it is not difficult to reach the best compromise on the quantity and correct positioning of the cotton inside the two slots.

► Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
Even in this new "Solo" version of Fat Rabbit, the system with independent double airflow is confirmed to be largely satisfactory, silent and ultra adjustable. With the supplied resistance pushed to 35W and with both AFC rings wide open, the production of vapor is abundant and the flavor is good. To maximize the flavor you can start to adjust the AFC rings and you can easily understand the variation in flavor that is obtained by excluding or adjusting the air up or down. This is like having two Tanks in one. However, I prefer to use both AFCs in a combined action, so as not to give up the maximum investment of air on the largest possible surface of the coil. I could use only one of the two AFCs keeping the other closed, but doing so seems to me to lose something in terms of flavor, also I am using an e-liquid with 3mg / ml of boost and with the partial airflow the throat hit is too accentuated making me cough. So I prefer to use the Top airflow + Bottom airflow combination for a softer throat hit and cooler vapor. Of course, having two independent airflow systems is an advantage over competing tanks that only use a Top solution or a Bottom solution. Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA now has a new "intercalated" design of the holes on the deck (with a honeycomb design) that is designed to maximize performance in the "single Coil" configuration. It seems to work very well; so for me this is a winning choice for those looking for maximum performance in the single coil configuration, without giving up the possibility of installing two coils on this advanced and compact vaporizer.
