Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA leaking

Hi, I've had my fat rabbit rta for a little while now, but recently it's started leaking, when I fill it up, almost instantly it starts leaking out through pretty much any hole it can, I've replaced all o-rings, it's not a problem with wicking as I always wick the same and have never had an issue, it seems to be a problem with the AFC piece (last piece before the build deck) but I'm not sure, any way to fix this?

I would check that your o-rings are all where they are supposed to be and one hasn’t left its groove.

What was the last thing you did with the RTA before it started leaking?
I've checked all O-rings, all are good, and it leaking happened overnight, was fine before I went to bed, turned it off, put it on the desk, and in the morning it had all leaked out (sat upright not on its side) and wouldn't hold liquid

so you didn’t take it apart or anything? I’m wondering if maybe an o-ring has come out of its track and is getting pinched or something. Another possibility is the vacuum/capilry action seal the wick makes isn’t working for whatever reason
I've taken it apart since, replaced all o-rings and double checked they're seated correctly, even replaced the tank glass incase there was a hairline crack or something I couldn't see stopping it from sealing, I've been using it like an RDA recently as the tank doesn't hold liquid, and noticed smoke fills the tank. So there's definitely air getting in somewhere

If your Fat Rabbit RTA is leaking after filling, there are a few things you can check to resolve the issue. First, make sure the AFC piece is properly tightened but not over-tightened, as an improper seal here can cause leakage through the airflow holes. Inspect the AFC piece and the surrounding threading for any damage, cracks, or residue buildup, as gunk can affect the seal and cause leaking. Even though your wicking has been fine in the past, it’s worth revisiting the wicking setup—ensure the cotton is neither too tight nor too loose around the airflow holes, as either can lead to juice leaking when you fill the tank. Check that the top cap is securely screwed on and the o-ring is intact, as any gap here can lead to leaks, especially around the fill port. Additionally, make sure you’re not overfilling the tank, as this can cause excess pressure and lead to leakage, particularly when the AFC is too wide open. Lastly, try closing the AFC slightly before filling to prevent any pressure build-up. If you’ve gone through these steps and the issue persists, it may be worth considering the replacement of certain parts or the entire tank, especially if any components are damaged or worn out. Reaching out to the manufacturer or a local vape shop could help you find the right replacement parts or a solution to the issue.
Hi, thank you, I've had a look, and it looks like I had overtightened the afc to the build deck and damaged a thread, I'd imagine that is probably the cause, i will likely buy a replacement, thinking the hellvape hellheim s RDTA or another fat rabbit

AFC might need definition. There’s also an NFC for example. Together they make professional American football. 3 letter acronyms are annoying like that.

Yeah bent threads can be real hard to fix without the proper die.
