having bad luck with lemon and lemon lime flavours

I have been using The Flavours Apprentice and so far having good results. I got thier lemon and thier lemon/lime and its coming out terrible. Ive been using it at a 5% ratio. Is this too much? it just tastes weird. NOt real lemon like. I tried adding some sour, again maybe I added too much. I then added some smooth flavour thinking that it needed some of that ,but again. Yuck.

Anyone have a good suggestion or recipe for a good lemon or lemon lime slightly tart lightly sweet juice. I tired adding some peppermint and it helped but still yucky. I ended up with a 4 oz bottle because I kept adding more pg/vg and then more flavours etc. I would like to save this somehow. ANy suggestions greatly appreciated.

Maybe its the Brand, if someone knows a good lemon or lemon lime that tastes real, that would be great.

Flavor art's lemon Sicily is a realistic lemon flavor

Flavor West lemonade is a realistic lemon flavor but not as good as fa

Both works good 5% standalone for me.

Not the bottles I got from liberty fights and I hate soapy or perfumy flavors. Taste clean to me. I had soapy n floral taste from other fa flavors but not in my lemon Sicily

Just wanted to update, I dumped half of the bottle I had of the yucky lemon and added 50/50 equal parts of plain base. It is now vapable and tastes good. Goes to show some flavours cant be used at even 5% I added a touch of tangerine aprx 1 drop per mil . and a touch of peppermint already made and its good.

I use TFA but use very little. I add a couple drops of AAA magic mask ,couple drops Koolada and it's pretty good.

That sounds really good! I do have tangerine, but of course I don't have peppermint.

I made a juice using Capella's Lemon-Lime last week at 10% and was delighted!

It was at 70%PG/30%VG, and I added nothing else to it. To my palate, it was right on even having been my first experiment with that flavour. I don't think I'll change a thing about the recipe with the exception of trying a small batch with Koolada just to see...I've got a couple of friends that dig it that way.

What is AAA magic mask? I love a tad of koolada in most of my fruits

I think it smooths out the flavor. I had a fruit flavoring that I thought was perfumy and sweet and I added Magic Mask and Bitter Wizard and it seemed to help.

Now I just sometimes throw it in.

Thank Caridwen, I have the smooth by TPA, I will look into the AAA magic mask , I was wondering, as a sweetener, which would be the most natural. Obviously sucralose is a synthetic similar to sweet and low, of all the sweeteners like brown sugar etc, which would work best to lightly sweeten?

FW "Ecto Cooler" at 10-12% is a great standalone flavour/ vape.

EcigExpress sells Flavor West "Ecto Cooler"......its a lemon/lime flavoring.

Its more of a lemony color, Anavid.

But it can be vaped alone at 10-12%......its got no chemical/perfumy tone to it at all. Would be great to use with other flavors too, I used it in a Good N Plenty recipe yesterday.
