To all the Hangsen fans I wanted to start this thread as a collection of your favorite Hangsen recipes. I have personally never mixed with Hangsen but I have read a lot of really good reviews and thought I would start this and watch what happens and then place an order to try some new flavors.

Please post your Hangsen recipes here they don't have to be 100% Hangsen but majority of the flavors should be.

Ready, set, GO

Glad to share. I keep it simple with HS. They are really good with limited additives. I like a little EM in all my tobaccos. Adds a touch of sweetness with a moistness to the vape that I can't do without. If you don't like EM then go on the low % side of the tobacco. I vape 50/50 @ 6-10mg in drippers, kayfuns, and dual coil protanks etc.

Here are some faves that are simple to mix and enjoy:

6-7% Desert Ship
.5-1.0% AP (this recipe is good with or without it. I mix both and love them each for different reasons. YMMV)
1 - 1.5% Ethyl Maltol

^in my regular rotation for almost a year now

5-6% Highway
2% HS Vanilla
1% EM

^killer vanilla tobacco vape. I got stuck on it for 2 weeks straight once.

6% Indian
1.5% AP
1 - 1.5% EM

^unique flavor in some ways. Can't put a finger on it. A bit more earthy than DS or Hwy

6-7% Flue Cured
1% AP
1.5% EM

^slightly sweet and light tobacco vape. I can chain vape this stuff.

5-6% TAB (this is a great sweeter lighter tobacco vape alone or with other flavors so worth having either way)
4-5% TFA RY4 Double
1% AP (optional and I don't use EM in this mix. It's sweet enough)

^qualifies as a dessert tobacco vape. You can add almost anything extra to this. A touch of coffee, dulce de leche, sweet cream, whatever you think might work should work. All of my friends who vape request this one on a regular basis. Definitely the sweetest of the bunch I posted. I prefer a more natural tobacco flavor with just a touch of sweetness but when I want sweeter i go with this one.

I've learned with HS tobaccos (especially the ones listed above) that you really shouldn't or don't need to mess with the true flavor unless you are going for something like a dessert vape. Just tweak the edges. They all take a 1-3 weeks to get right. Steeping is required. I've been seed steeping lately with my normal rotation. Once I get down to 15mls, I'll mix 15mls in fresh and shake and also make a fresh bigger bottle to sit. No steeping required with the old/new mix.

Other flavors that match the lighter sweeter profile are Deluxe and Magic Mix. I like both very much.

Wow, fabulous info Bob !!!! I ordered all of these except the AP . Can you tell me why you add this to your tobacco's ? Once again thanks so much Bob for your knowledge on these !

AP is acetylpyrazine. A flavor molecule that adds a distinct "nuttiness" or "bready" flavor. It's a must have for tobaccos. Not all go well with it but I mix some of the same recipes with and without it. I like each for different reasons. Must be used sparingly. If you add too much it tastes like a Frito. No kidding. Used properly it can add a nutty kick to not just tobacco but desserts as well.

Highway is a little nutty on its own so be careful with that one. I usually skip it with my Highway variations.

I received my order a couple of days ago. Here are my thoughts on them thus far:

Blueberry 5% - not steeped - Kind of floral, but it seems all vendor's berry flavors are. Many folks don't like it but I mixed together equal parts of the following and found it to be a pleasant vape. I wouldn't say it would knock your socks off, but it's one that I was able to finish off without re-wicking.

BERRIES N CREAM
HAN Raspberry 5% (1.6% total)
HAN Blueberry 5% (1.6% total)
VZ Super Concen. cream 3%
(1% total) ( you could also use VZ reg concen. bavarian cream @ 3% total in leiu of the Super concentrate Cream and get a slightly sweeter note)

HAN Espresso - 3% Very strong flavor, but a clean coffee vape (no burnt office coffe flavor). Good as a stand alone @ 3% and it's an in your face flavor if your taste buds are whacked

HAN Cappicino - @7% very weak coffee flavor with lots of cream. A good blender with espresso. not bad needs some punch from other flavors.

HAN Caramel Mocha - @5% - A little more coffee flavor than cappucino. Much sweeter, tastes like it's sweetened with honey and maybe caramel. decent on it's own.

CREAMY COFFEE BLEND -This comes out as a very nice coffee with cream flavor that is well balanced and just a little sweet. This is a good ADV candidate for me.
I mixed equal parts of:
HAN Espresso 5% (1.65% total)
HAN Cappucino 7% (2.31% Total)
HAN Caramel Mocha 5% (1.65% total)

HAN Raspberry @5% - Not steeped - Like the blueberry, there is a floral effect to this one as well, but it is still the best raspberry I have had yet. It is still a pleasant vape, but you might want to add sweetener or cream to it.

HAN Banana - @5% - Not Steeped - Too strong. This one is liekly a great flavor that I will need to water down a bit and revisit. It shows promise, especially as a blender.

HAN Pineapple @7% - not steeped - Too strong. This one is a VERY popular flavor that folks really like. I think it would be much happier at 3-5%. I will come back to this one at a future date.

HAN Apple @5% - This is a much better apple flavor than the TFA Tart Aplle Granny Smith @10% ( that was nasty). This is a clean apple taste. YOu might try 3% forst to see if you like it, then bump up the flavor.

I will update this thread as I refine these flavors to find their individual sweet spots and any mixtures I come up with. I really like the VZ Bavarian cream and the VZ Super Concen. Cream as mixers. Any fruit flavors that don't seem quite right seem to benefit from the addition of a 3% mix of super cream or 10% mix of bavarian cream to equal parts of the Hangsen fruit flavors.

I still have more flavors to test including Juicy Peach, Mango, Cocoa, Coffee, Red Cola, and others.

During mixing, I test with either a Magma RDA, or a Kracken RBA with single coils and cotton wicks.
I keep my temperatures low and my coils are generally 1.6-1.8 ohms.
I like the Kracken for testing because I can just pull off the top and do a quick burn off and re-wick from a cotton ball in under a minute. Then I'm off to the next flavor with a minimum of fuss and effort. I usually use a 60pg/40vg to 75pg/25. I am rather indiscriminate about which I use, but I am leaning towards making everything 60/40 due to cooler/more voluminous vapor. I don't think I am a cloud chaser, but I get great clouds with that mix (this helps me determine if a flavor is effecting vapor production).

Please share your recipes so we can all find the Ethereal Mana we seek. :)

A nice fruity vape

Apple Raspberry
3% HAN Apple
3% HAN Raspberry

It substantially stronger in the apple than the reaspberry, but the raspberry takes some of the bite out of the apple. I compared this flavor to the individual flavors at 5% and really like the two blended better than either of them stand alone.

I agree with Jensy. Start @ 5%. All of my HS tobaccos are good in the 5-7% range. I like a little EM in all my mixes so I go 6-7% with those recipes but 5% is a great # for all of them to get started. If it's too light it's easy to add a tiny bit without really effecting the ratios.

I've had some HS tobaccos sit for 6-12 months and they remain excellent. Great shelf life with this stuff.

Most Hangsen Tobaccos I have tried are good but all pretty similar and sort of weak tobacco. The T5 seems to be one of the stronger ones but it tastes a little estery to me. The other issue I have with Hangsen is a lot of them seem to develop and increasing noticeable vanilla note over time.

I found the Turkish to be like most Turkish, not very umm Turkish. If you are into a stronger Turkish taste I would suggest blending :

3-4% TobaccoExpress Turkish (available from ECX)
2% Hangsen Turkish

then the usual stuff a touch of EM, Caramel, maybe some Acetyl Pyrazine if you like it, a little Trimethyl Pyrazine if you really want a lot of analog style ashtray in the mix. A little bit of diluted Coffee flavor can enhance a Turkish mix as well.
