I was just sitting here enjoying my favorate soft drank grenadine syrup in soda water and wishing I could re-create the flavor for vaping - but have no idea how.

The word grenadine come from grenade which means pomegranate - but does not taste like pomegranate juice - not even highly sweetened pomegranate juice.

So I am was hoping someone could help me. Does anyone have any idea of a mix that might create a grenadine flavor?

Nature's Flavors carries a Grenadine flavor, which I haven't tried but intend to.

FlavourArt has a good Blackcurrant that could world, since according to wikipedia, "The characteristic flavor can be obtained from a mixture of blackcurrant juice and other fruit juices with the blackcurrant flavour dominating." The only real grenadine I've tried has been Rose grenadine, though.

Thank you so much! I have never heard of Nature's Flavors (and I would have thought I would - since of the resent post of concern about some artificial flavorings) - and doing quick searches of DIY threads could find very little except a brief mention that if you do buy from them choose their from Organic Coffee and Tea Flavoring System.

Have you used their flavorings much? Are they as strong as PA or Lorann? Do you know of any other reason why they are not more popular with DIY except for the sad fact you have to order at least an ounce? Is there any flavors of theirs that you think are very good? (since if I order grenadine from them; I may as well try others)

And also thank you for the Blackcurrant reference - regretfully I have just posted how much I dislike flavorarts flavorings and vowing to not give them another try - but now after checking out Lorann, Capellas, and PA; and finding that none of them having a blackcurrent - I find I may have to go back on my word and give them another try .

Haven't tried that many NF flavors, but they are usually pretty strong and true to flavor. I believe Vaperite uses them in their Organic VG line and Velvet Vapors uses them in their PG-Free section, so if you look for reviews of those flavors it might help. I like the Honeydew and Danish Pastry. They are pretty expensive and that's the only reason I can think of as well.
