I wrote this review before the Zeus X Mesh was officially released and forgot to post it after the release date. I hope that it can still help you to decide if it would be a good fit for you.
Welcome to another review. It seems like there have been quite a bit of new reviews lately. I’m guessing that it is in part due to people having more time on their hands with what is going on in our world. The Zeus X Mesh rta was sent to me by Geekvape for the purpose of this review. Let me start out by saying HOLY FLAVOR BATMAN! At the time of this being written, I’ve had the rta for approximately two weeks. Let’s take a look at what’s included.
What’s in the box:
1x Zeus X Mesh RTA
1x N80 mesh 0.17ohm coil
1x KA1 mesh 0.2ohm coil
1x Spare glass tube
1x Spare drip tip
1x Accessory bag
The above is what I found on a vendor website as to what is included. There isn’t much information out on this rta yet so I am going with what I have found since I received a sample and the contents may be different compared to when it is actually sold. I received two of each mesh coil and four cotton strands so they can all be used. Included in the accessory bag is the normal stuff like orings but also includes a solid white cylinder that is used for shaping the mesh before placing it in the rta.
Specifications:
Size: 25x 47.8mm
E-juice Capacity: 4.5ml
Drip tip: 510 or 810 drip tip
Build deck: Modular build deck
Airflow: Adjustable top airflow
Coil building: Mesh coil building

-4.5ml large e-juice capacity
-Modular build deck with mesh coil
-Supports both 510 and 810 drip tip
-The deck is compatible with Zeus X RTA
-Adjustable leakproof top-to-side airflow design
Let me start by saying I am not an experienced mesh tank user. I own and have used one mesh rta in the past. Due to the design of a mesh rta, the amount of cotton needed for wicking is about three times the amount of a normal 3mm coil. The included cotton strands are indeed very thick and make for a good fit. I honestly felt like I did a bit of a hack job wicking this rta. It has been very forgiving and I have not experienced any dry hits or flooding since I built it. I’ve been running the same wick with a diy lemon meringue pie liquid for about two weeks. I wouldn’t say that I’ve run a large amount of liquid through it but have put it In rotation with my other set ups. Here is a picture of the deck and the inside of the rta after two weeks of intermittent use.
The coil I’ve been running is the kanthal mesh .2 coil. I know it looks a little dark in the center but the flavor production is still really good. I found with the other mesh rta I tried that I could get well over a month out of a coil and wick. Keep in mind that the liquid I am using is fairly sweet. You can see the slots in the picture above of the inside of the tank. The base needs to align with those two slots in order to screw in. Also, the part with the airholes inside the tank is removable which makes it really nice for cleaning.
I know you folks are probably tired of hearing this but I don’t like short drip tips that make me put my mouth on the top of the tank. The tip in the picture above is one of my favorites and use it on many tanks. I wish instead of giving one short black and one short ultem tip that manufacturers would include one short tip and one longer one.
I found the flavor and vapor production of this tank very enjoyable. If you’ve read any of my other reviews then you’ll remember that I like to run in the 25-35 watt range or there about. I can go lower but don’t usually like to go much higher. I found the kanthal mesh to run very well in my range with the airflow 1/3-1/2 open. I did have to mix some liquid at 6mg instead of my usual 12mg due to the amount of vapor and throat hit that I was getting from this rta. I settled at 29 watts and felt like I got a very nice vape. The airflow adjustment moves very smoothly and the threads on the base were very good with no trouble screwing the base on. I would probably give this tank about a 9.5 out of ten on flavor production. I felt like I was able to taste aspects of the liquid used that I had not picked up on in other tanks.
About the only thing I had an issue with on this tank is that the top cap is thin and I found it hard to get ahold of to turn without turning the airflow. It’s not a big deal and may just be that my fingers are too fat or something but I did notice it.
Final Thoughts:
As far as I’m concerned, Geekvape has hit another home run. What a great tank. It is not only a great tank but it is compatible with the original Zeus X rta which means that you can swap parts or if Geekvape decides to sell bases then you can turn your original tanks into mesh tanks which is what I will do if possible since I didn’t really fall in love with the original.
I thought the tank was very well built with nice and clean threading. I gave the flavor production on this tank a 9.5 simply because no one is perfect. I haven’t tried every rta on the market but this one has produced the most robust flavor out of any that I’ve tried.
So in closing, if you’re looking for a very good flavor and vapor production rta that is somewhat forgiving on the wicking then I’d suggest giving this one a try. There aren’t many Geekvape tanks that I’ve bought or reviewed that I haven’t liked but would let you know if this was one of them. I’m not going to do a pros/cons list on this one simply because the only thing I didn’t like was that I had difficulty grabbing the thin top cap to remove it for filling. It really isn’t that big of a deal for me since I don’t go through a lot of liquid on a daily basis so the 4.5ml lasts me quite a while. Also it might not be an issue for others.
At the time that this is being written, there isn’t a lot of information on this rta online that I have seen. I would think that more information should be available soon and you can watch for it at www.geekvape.com .
Thank you for reading my review. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them. Also, everyone out there be safe and do your best to practice social distancing during this horrible pandemic.
