    First Impressions:

I received the Devil Red colored Wenax. I’m not a big fan of red mods but this one is a decent shade of red. The Wenax Stylus is made of aluminum so it is lightweight but has a nice feel to it. Five clicks of the fire button on the bottom of the unit will turn it on. From there you can click the fire button three times to switch between wattage ranges. The Wenax features either auto draw or you can fire using the button. The color of the button on the bottom will flash with the color of the power setting. White is the lowest setting, then blue for the medium setting, and green for the highest setting. I don’t notice a huge difference between the low and medium but it is definitely noticeable between the low and high. The unit comes with two coils. There is a .6 mesh coil and a G coil at 1.2 ohms. The wattage ranges depending on the coil are 14, 15, and 16w for the .6 coil and 9, 10, and 11w for the 1.2 coil. The .6 coil came installed in the pod so I tried it first even though I have used this coil before. It provides pretty good flavor and a fairly large amount of vapor for a pod device. After a week or so of use I switched to the 1.2 coil. This is the one I was really curious about since it was new to me. One thing to remember is that you don’t want to change coils when the pod is near full. The liquid will come out. The coils on this are just pushed into place and have o rings on them to seal. I got a little condensation inside the opening for the pod but nothing to be concerned about. Ok, back to the 1.2 coil. I felt like the 1.2 was really a pretty good MTL vape. The airflow is definitely more restricted with this coil. The vapor produced is still fairly generous for a MTL vape and it is warm but not hot. I really enjoyed the 1.2 coil.

The pod itself is fairly easy to fill. It’s a side fill port which I have seen on other devices and like. The rubber plug is fairly easy to pull up and hold while filling. I used a 10ml plastic bottle for filling and didn’t have any issues except to me the pod is still a little dark. If I am in good lighting then I can see the liquid level while filling. It would be easier if it was clear. The kit came with two drip tips. There is a short one and a long one. I personally prefer the longer one for both coils. With the short tip and the .6 coil, I found my lips touching the top of the pod and don’t like that very much. They are 510 tips so if you have a favorite then you can use that.

You can see in the picture below that there is an airflow hole above the Wenax name on the device. There is a matching one on the other side. If you want to decrease the airflow even more, you can place a finger over one of the holes to make the draw tighter. It’s not an advertised feature but something I discovered while using the Wenax.

    Final Thoughts:

I did like using the Wenax Stylus. The 1100mah battery seemed to last a long time for me. It is lightweight enough that I was able to use it as a front shirt pocket carry at work but the length of it did not make it stick out of the pocket. I like not only the lightweight of it but the feel of the unit in my hand. The .6 coil was good for a loose MTL or restricted DTL depending on the wattage setting (color of button). The 1.2 coil provided a fairly flavorful vape with a much more restricted airflow for a MTL that was enjoyable to me because it was warm but not hot.

If I could change anything about the Wenax then I think I would make the pods clear. I don’t know why all pods aren’t clear. I guess it might not look as cool or whatever but I’d just like to be able to clearly see the liquid level while filling. The pod on the Wenax isn’t as dark as some I’ve used before but clear would be better. One other thing that isn’t a huge deal but would be nice is if somehow the button color would stay the color of the wattage range that you picked. It’s not a big deal since most will set it once and not change it. However, once you do the three presses to change the range then it shows the color once but then while using it only lights up with the battery level rather than what range you’re in. For example, if I set the Wenax in the medium setting (blue light) and then continue to vape, the light of the button is green indicating that the battery charge is on the top end. Perhaps there could have been a small light on the body indicating the battery level instead. I know I’m just being picky but it’s something that came to my mind while using it.

So, would I recommend the Wenax Stylus by Geekvape? I would. It’s versatile being able to use the different coils that are also shared by other Geekvape devices. The flavor and vapor production was enjoyable. One big plus for me is the light weight of the unit for pocket carrying. I felt like even though it was lightweight, it felt like a quality unit in the hand and did not have to sacrifice size for performance. Thanks go out to Geekvape for sending the Wenax and to the readers of my reviews. I hope to see you again soon. It was a nice review MAN one of these days I am going to wind up with a pod if I am not careful.

What's the coil tool for? Fishing out the coil? How long (approximately) will a coil last (IDK if you can really know that etc.?)

Devil Red sounds awesome to me!

    Anna

Anna, the coils can be a bit tight to get started when pulling out if you don’t have good fingernails. The tool slides into the slot and allows you to pop the coil up.
