Hello and welcome to today's review of the AEGIS LEGEND III KIT manufactured by GEEKVAPE. I would like to thank HEALTHCABIN for providing this device and tank for review and I will leave a link to it later on. The Aegis Legend device has had 2 previous versions but this 3rd version has a rather unique feature of locking the device to where only hand placement will activate the device unlocking it for use, this feature can be turned off and button locking is also a option. The legend III also has the IP68 rating making it DUSTPROOF, WATERPROOF and Shockproof. The Geekvape Z Fli Sub Ohm tank is also included in this kit, there's a lot to cover so let's get started.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


I always have a smile form on my face when a device is presented in a appealing way and a smile was on my face with the Aegis Legend III Kit. A box within a sleeve was the packaging with a semi transparent hard plastic piece showing how the locking system works.

I found the device and tank to be very attractive and still have a rugged feel. The leather is smooth just like the past versions were. The Legend III is a bit smaller than past versions but still has some heft to it.

Coils for the tank are press fit but you need to align the tabs on the coils with the recesses of the tank and then press to fully seat the coil in place.

I think this top cap might be my favorite because it slides open then flips up, closing is done in reverse order and it stays securely closed and locked.

There is a arrow point on the top cap. Once opened there are 3 holes at the edge of the tank with the center hole used for securing the top cap. the holes on either side of it are your fill holes, either one can be used allowing one to release air for a quick mess free fill. The top does not hinder filling with larger 100 or 120ml bottles as you can see the 100ml bottle is even unsupported.

This is such a attractive mod from any angle you look at it, on the display screen a plastic sticker is placed on telling you to press the fire button 3 times to enter the menu system.

Inside the mod the 2 18650 battery tubes are marked with the correct polarity placement for the batteries, the battery door also has correct polarity symbols on it as well.

The working display screen is nice and bright with vivid colors along with very easily seen fonts. To enter the menu a simple 3 quick presses of the fire button is all that's needed, once in the menu use the adjustment buttons to navigate to what you want to adjust, this is one of the easiest full menu systems on a full size mod.

Using the touch lock activated I had mixed results, I have been able to activate the device even though the touch lock was activated, it should only unlock the buttons when your hand or warm skin touches the device ( sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't ).

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


As the picture above shows I was able to activate the buttons even though the touch lock was activated. I have been testing this device for a very long time and it's been carried in my pocket with the touch lock activated, I thought and expected every time I had a vape it was going to be burnt but that hasn't happed. I don't know what to tell you on this happening, is it working or not.

Thank goodness you can lock the buttons manually as well and that is what I would suggest doing even though I had no accidental firing in my pocket.

As far as everything else goes it's a great kit, the tank and coils produce great flavor but this tank is not a sipper of juice it's more of a guzzler but for me that's fine because of the great flavor.

The dual airflow slots produce a abundance of airflow, so much so I only have them open 1/4 of the way for a super smooth RDL vape. I like the smaller size of the device but still wish it was a dual 21700. Aside from the touch lock being iffy I would still recommend this kit.

Good review Bob! The touch activation is a neat idea but sounds like the follow through wasn’t really there. Geekvape has been milking the Aegis design for too long and is way overdue for some new designs in my opinion.
