Well, the Aegis Mini is a battery. What matters when you are looking at what power to use depends on the tank not the battery. I'm guessing you got a tank with the Aegis in a kit. What tank do you have?

Never used salt nic. As far as I know you can use it the same way you would use regular nic.

I've got an Aegis Mini myself. Really like it.

I’m using a Horizon Tech Falcon tank.

I’m using a Horizon Tech Falcon tank.
Looking online the falcon is billed as a sub ohm tank and their coils range from .16 to .36 with the majority being .2
Sub ohm DL seems like the mode from here.

Did you use regular nic in the thing previously? If so what mg/ml was it?

You can use nic salts in that setup. You can't/probably shouldn't go much higher than freebase. Maybe a mg or two if you must.

Subohm setups generally don't require nicsalts though, and I'm not really sure why you are considering them? The experience is probably not going to be blowing you away.

If you want vape high nicslts you are going to need a very much more MTL setup of whatever kind.

When vaping with sub-ohm coils, folks usually drop their nic level by half because of the increased vapor production, which will usually result in double the nic inhaled compared to a non-subohm tank.

Nic salts, as far as I know, generally are sold with a higher nic strength than nic base has. You could use nic salts in your tank, but I'd use the lowest nic strength you can find.

Generally speaking, nic salts are more commonly used in MTL, low wattage tanks (like an Innokin Zenith) or pod systems. I believe the coils used in a Zenith tank work best between 8 - 10 watts.

I don't want to come off as the vape police, as everyone is different and all that...but for the love of god, please don't try salt nic on it. That tank is made for high wattage, and salt nic "shouldn't" be attempted for anything above like 15-20 watts at the absolute max (unless there is some new type that is low mil that I'm unaware of.) The Juul I would guess puts off 10ish watts for nic salts.

Of course someone will tell me that they do it all that time, etc...but I really worry about people hurting themselves. But those coils probably won't even work at that low of wattage.

For context, most people would use a 1.5mg or 3mg juice on those coils. Salt nic is usually 30mg or 50mg. So just doing some rough math, it's many, many, many times stronger than that. No judgement, but I just think it should be said aloud for safety.

I recently purchased an Aegis Mini 80 watt and want to use it to try SALT eliquid. What power range should I start at? Have any of you used this device for SALT eliquid?

Thanks!
if you want to use nic salt i truly advise low wattage and high ohms, what does this mean?

Well, simple sub-ohm is low ohms and high wattage mostly, saltc nics are pretty friendly with low wattage, otherwise you will end up with a burnt throat or worse,

an interesting idea will be using a mtl, were nics salts are special ingredient for extreme nic rush and satisfaction, for example getting a true mtl tank or also kits for that, like geekvape's flint,

PD: nic saltz on TC are amazing!

Regards,

there are several companies that have made the switch to salt nic in lower concentrations.....Mr. Good Vape uses salt in 3 and 6 mg

I diy and use salts @ 6 mg in sub ohms. Why everyone is in a tizzy about this is because most commercial salts are higher mg/ ml than you’d want to use sub ohm. That’s it.

There is almost no difference in TH at 6-12 mgs. I doubt you’d notice any difference at all.

It’s not the salts itself, it’s how high the nic content is.
