Looking for a new Mech mod and came across the FUhattan (http://ddcfq0gxiontw.cloudfront.net/Product/3258357/3142116/big.jpg?1412359311)
I like the look of it but I'm having a hard time finding any review in it. Also came across .... You Industries which also has a Manhattan style mod (http://www.aaaglasspipes.com/assets/images/img_5603.jpg) but I've never heard of them and can't find any reviews. Anyone know anything about them?

Don't want a hybrid but what something to throw big clouds. I have an Atlantis tank and Mutation X Rda.

Thanks in advance.

I had both. The Fu was a clone of the Manhattan style and , to me, a better mod. Think there was some sort of dispute between the designer and the owner of the mod company. The designer went on his own with the FU and pretty much shot the design of the Manhattan out of the clouds. Fu is a better mod with better packaging, also a better sense of humor.

I can only speak about the Amerivape version I got one given to me buy a relative of the Amerivape guy who is a shop owner in San Diego a month or so before its release. its a 1/8 thick tube with brass contacts and vary strong Magnet switch noting to go wrong here If the FU is the same for 80$ less Id say go that route

The FU Hatten IS the manhattan without the AV logos.
It wasn't $80 less.
It was $80 total.
Mods CAN be made very well at a reasonable price right here in the US, but modders and resellers would like you to believe they can't.

I'm not sure if the Fuhattan is a hybrid or not, I need to get my hands on some more mechs. Anyways, I wanted to mention that the Atlantis won't work on hybrids, it damages the battery. I saw the local B&M owner pull out a really hot battery from a girl's mech mod, had to drop it on the floor. It was dead and dented in from using it with an Atlantis.

The FUHatten isn't a hybrid. It has a center pin.

By the way, none of these "pin-less" mods (SMPL, stingray X, etc) are true hybrids.
They have a top cap without center pin to give you the LOOK of a true hybrid.

A true hybrid doesn't have 510 connection at all.

This is a hybrid

So as to not continue to allow the myth that Avid Lyfe (then Ameravape) did not pay the original machinist for his work done on the original, first run Manhattans to continue to run rampant, this is the real story. The machinist used sub par materials which was not part of the agreement. These materials contributed to the mods received being below the standards that Ameravape set for, and claimed the Manhattan was capable of. Directly from the owner/designer of the Manhattan:

"We went into production and I spent every penny in my name as well as my business partners. Everything was going very well until we went to pick up the product. Over 1/2 of the devices were defective. Turns out he was in trouble with the IRS and the money we were giving him for materials and prepaid production wasn't being used on our materials. After getting to the bottom of it we paid 100% of every penny owed to him for product that was not defective. Our legal counsel instructed them to destroy all of the defective product. It had been bead blasted, acid washed, etc trying to fix blemishes that decreased the thread tolerance and made it not safe to use at the levels we claim and have tested for. So no, we didn't owe the machine shop 50 K and yes the fake ones are a safety issue. As a result of them being sold not as clones, but as authentic, it increases our liability. We received several warranty complaints and people wanting replacements or that they were getting hot buttons. These were people that thought they had real ones."
