Fresh Cart: Tastes Like Burning...

Hi All,
I have a fresh, blank Cool Cart, that I've filled with the same tobacco flavored juice three times. When I vape it tastes like burnt hair (that usually indicates an empty cart) from the first puff. I've used this same juice in another fresh, blank Cool Cart and it tastes fine.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Did I simply pull a dud, or if I were to follow the video instructions to boil/clean my carts might that clear it up?

To be clear: you have filled this same cart 3 times, but this time it tastes burnt? If so, it would suggest that you let it get too dry b/t refills and the polyfil might have burned. Nothing to do but trash it, cleaning wont help.

I agree with much of what K9Luvr said. When refilling cartos I will add drops in between fills to ensure the polyfill does not become too dry. Like K9Luvr alluded to earlier, once the carto tastes burnt, that taste is almost impossible to remove and the carto is most likely done. With the fresh carto, how many drops did you add to begin with? 20-25 is what most people say but the measurement is inaccurate because different people will "drop" differently. I would say, the carto is not filled until the polyfill is visibly saturated.

K9Luvr - I probably did let it get too dry. Until literally yesterday, I had been waiting for a juice order to come in and probably spread what I had too thin.
BHam - Using the condom method I consistently fill about 1/2 to 2/3 of the rubber cap.

The cart had a subtle burnt taste from the beginning, however it has gotten steadily worse. I was able to choke my way through the first two refills, but it's God-awful on the third!!!!

If you just go ahead and take the little white mouth piece out, it makes it much easier to fill, and easier to check to make sure it's not too dry. many of us used the condom method to fill when the mouth piece was glued into the cart and almost impossible to remove, but since the V4l carts make it easy to do, using that method is no longer necessary IMHO.
