So I just bought a freemax mesh pro tank. and when it was working I loved it however when I change the coil that mod would not recognize it. At first I thought it was just the mod but putting a different tank on it worked. So I put my mesh pro on my other mod and again the mod didn't recognize it. I tried 3 coils and none worked. Anyone have a fix or a problem like this with them? I love this tank and would hate to buy a different one. Maybe defective? I use a smok mag 225W TC

I don't own that tank. But if it was working fine before you changed the coil, my guess is there is some sort of user error in play here.

If multiple mods are not recognizing the tank, then the tank's electrical connections are not functioning correctly. This could mean the new coils were not installed correctly or are defective, or something is wrong with the 510 connection of the tank (damaged insulator?).

Is there a vape shop that you could visit that could help you trouble shoot your issue?

Check the bottom of the atomizer. There is a slot for tightening your connection on the atomizer end. Also, I find that it may leak fluid there and sometimes gunk up if the fluid dries out. My last though it possibly a bad coil which I have not yet experienced but there's always going to be a first time. Hope this helps. I wouldn't give up on this tank though. There are so many pro's and very few con's.

I fixed it the bottom part of the coil was too high so I moved it a lower. Thanks for the help guys really appreciate it!
This is an issue I remember having as an inexperienced vaper back in the day. I suspect it’s a right of passage of sorts. 10+ years later and they still put the bottom pin into a rubber grommet and let it free float.
I wonder if there is a list of basic trouble shooting tips somewhere? There probably is. This forum is a bit like Aladdin’s cave. All the wonders of the world but good luck finding something specific.
@BrotherBob seems to be good at that kind of thing. I’m not.

You might want to take it in to the local B&M vape shop and have them check for a short between the coil and the positive pin.
