Freemax Maxpod Kit

Freemax is known on the market for introducing some products that have conquered the sales rankings with their positive characteristics.

I must admit that I am a bit biased having been lucky enough to have tested these valid FreeMax items.

I quickly summarize the results Freemax has achieved over time with its Sub-Ohm tanks:

- Fireluke M was the first tank in the world to use Coil with mesh structure, the Fireluke Mesh Coil.

- M PRO was the first sub ohm tank in the world to use double, triple, quadruple and quintuple Mesh Coils, capable of supporting powers above 80-110 Watt.

- Fireluke2 (updated version of the M PRO) uses a Mesh Coil TX with a particular spiral structure and refined combinations of tea fiber cotton (90%) and 10% organic cotton.

- Finally, the Tank Disposable Gemm in ecological PCTG, with its diamond-structured Coiltech with 90% tea fiber cotton and 10% organic cotton, specifically designed to withstand longer, in these disposable I have had the opportunity to notice it clearly; their coils never end.

I honestly think there will be a reason if FreeMax has sold the beauty of 4.5 million Tanks between M Pro and Fireluke in the last 3 years ...

Logically and following this great sales success, Freemax has decided to design a pod that uses the same winning technology.

It seems (reported on the official website) that for 3 years the Freemax technical team has worked on the transplantation of the Mesh-Coils on the new MaxPod system, after this long gestation the NS Mesh-coils would finally be born.

The question arises, but why did it take 3 years? Why so long? ... when all you have to do is create a smaller mesh mesh? shouldn't it only take 2-3 months or less?

The reason for many tests and a lot of study is well imaginable, the new NS Mesh Coils had to be able to provide better performance than other competitive Pod products that invaded the market, the need was to create new technology coils, performing to the various uses: with different percentages VG / PG, with liquids with nicotine salts and with freebase liquids with different values of nicotine mg / ml, it was not a trivial goal.

Let's see later if the FreeMax technicians have managed to achieve this ambitious result.

The two-colored packaging of the MaxPodo has some higlights on the front and the product itself, the brand name and the classic warnings on the use of nicotine.

On the opposite side we find the social addresses of FreeMax, the specifications of the MaxPod and the contents of this cardboard box.

The physical address is instead shown on the side together with the Email with the logos / brands and a bar code, on the opposite side you can find a control hologram, scratch and check and various warnings.

During operation, the MaxPod shows us the battery charge status via the LED with 3 different colors:
- White light: 65-100%
- Blue light: 30-65%
- Red light: 0-30%
During charging, the LED is red and turns off automatically when the battery is fully charged.

Protections and warnings:
- Cut Off at 8 seconds.
-When the red light flashes 8 times: the device stops working (Low Voltage).
-When the white light flashes 8 times: the device stops working (Overload).
-When the white light flashes 3 times: the device stops working (Short circuit) * check the atomizer.

The kit is offered in six colors and uses IML technology:

The plastic / IML panels give pleasant graphic effects depending on how we expose the MaxPod to light, at the top below the Maxpod word is visible the hole for the battery / charge status control LED.

The body (black) is made of zinc alloy, the first side shows the charging socket and an interesting airflow hole in pure MTL style, really narrow I think it is in the order of a few tenths of a size, the opposite side shows the other specular air-flow hole.

The housing for the Cartridge obtained on the body of the MaxPod has 3 internal gold-plated contact pins and 2 tiny but tenacious round magnets.

The mouthpiece is tapered and follows the profile of the lips, on both sides the minimum level of liquid is also indicated beyond which it is better not to go for the correct safeguard of the coils, this Pod as you can see is smoked, not very transparent , but this does not prevent in counter / light from seeing the remaining liquid inside.

These NS coils house a different percentage of textile fibers inside them:

The 1.0Ω NS Mesh Coil adopts 66.66% of linen cotton and 33.34% of organic cotton, this fiber mix has been designed to obtain the best aromatic production / quantity of steam ratio.

The 1.5Ω NS Mesh Coil for use with high concentrations of nicotine and to obtain a strong hit is produced with 44.44% of linen cotton and 55.56% of organic cotton.

The 1.0Ω coil is automatically powered by the battery with a constant voltage of 3.3A and delivers 11W

The 1.5Ω coil is automatically powered by the battery with a constant voltage of 2.2A and delivers 8W

In addition to the Maxpod, I was very pleased to receive a Blister of 1Ω coil so as to be "covered" until the product arrives on the Italian market, thanks Freemax.

Here we also find a table where the best performance of each coil is indicated considering the nic content and the VG / PG ratios from the heaviest to the least invasive.

Final thoughts:

Overall, the Fremax Maxpod Kit is an inexpensive and portable pod system, suitable for all types of liquids.

The MaxPod Kit uses IML Technology. It is a film produced in the same material in which the piece is made. Due to the temperature of the molten plastic that is injected into the mold and the pressure it exerts on the surfaces of the figure, the film melts and is incorporated into the piece, the label becomes an integral part of the article and therefore has a longer life, the In Mold Labeling (IML) technology allows to obtain a very high print quality and to reproduce on the products particular graphic effects and high resolution images.

The shot is automatic with an extraordinarily short reaction time, the integrated 550 mAh battery has a constant 3.3 V output, and is capable of delivering about 200 puffs before being recharged. You can count on an important safety equipment, the construction materials make the MaxPod graphically appealing (IML) and well-sized.

Coil considerations (studied for 3 years by freeMax) are a slightly more complex topic to deal with, so let's do it, taking into consideration that they have been developed and studied for the best use both with nicotine salts and with nicotine freebase VG / PG which is what basically interests us.

From the tests conducted by Freemax I report the recommended field of use for these two coils according to the type of liquids and nicotine concentration used:

The VG / PG ratio usable with NS Mesh-Coils for Nic Salt liquids varies from 50/50 to 40/60 to 60/40 while for elquid Freebases it varies from 60/40 to 70/30 to 80/20, the which means that these mesh coils support 99% of combinations of densities and types of liquids that we can introduce in our MaxPod.

- The 1.0Ω NS Mesh Coil used with nicotine salts (Best 20-30mg) and Freebase liquids (Best 3-12mg)

- NS Mesh Coil 1.5Ω used with nicotine salts (Best 30-50mg) and Freebase liquids (Best 12-24mg)

My test took place with a simple liquid based on 50/50 3 / mg / ml and 9mg / ml flavored with 10% (Tob Ermes)

The first coil I tried was the 1.0Ω one with the result that I could no longer detach myself, almost incredulous both for the shot (a real MTL) and for the aroma / steam production really almost at the level of a tank with clear perception hit even at only 3mg / ml.

Subsequently I changed the coil by inserting the 1.5Ω one, with the same concentration (3mg) of course the blow in the throat is less, moving to (9mg) already we begin to recover a lot of hits, with this coil I wanted to deepen my test more as I consider it an excellent compromise between battery life / steam / flavor only slightly less than 1.0 ohm which excels in everything and compared to 1.5ohm it penalizes only slightly the autonomy of the 500mah battery.

The market is now flooded with all types of Mini / Pods but I had not seen any of these mini / devices yet be able to do what the Maxpod Kit does in MTL!

That's why I consider the Maxpod Kit as the most interesting mini / pod system on the market today for those looking for a simple and inexpensive Pod with the best MTL Pod-Mesh-Coil that I have tried so far.
