My husband and I are flying from the US to Toronto and then on to St. John's, Newfoundland. I plan on taking 2 18650 batteries and my electric (plug into the wall outlet) battery charger. Obviously, I will be taking my actual (Lava Tube) e-cig and juice, but I will have the juice and tank in the liquids Ziploc and the lava tube in a separate Ziploc bag.

I understand that I need to carry both batteries in my carry-on baggage but for those of you who have done this before, did you tape the ends of the batteries? Did you put them in a special container? Did you do anything special to help ease the way through security?

As for the charger, do I carry that in my carry-on or my checked luggage? I don't have the original box for the charger but was going to put it in a bag labeled "electronic cigarette charger".

Any advice, tips, or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to do anything that would make security suspicious and have them confiscate my batteries, my charger, etc. Thank you!

You can carry your Lavatube through security and onto the plane assembled and ready to use. You can use them anywhere in the airport that allows smoking (Some airports you can use them anywhere, but I would check on the specific airport policy first).

However, for the flight you'll want to make sure the tank is empty. The air pressure changes will break the seal and flood the coils pretty bad if you don't.
