Just picked up some Violet Candy from TFA...smelled good in the bottle, very surprised on how it didn't smell perfumy.

Mixed up:

VANILLA-VIOLET
( all TFA)

5 mls. at 12mgs. 20/80

10% Violet Candy
5% French Vanilla
5% Cotton Candy (EM)

Fresh, it's pretty darn good.
Kinda odd at first vape ( my first time with a floral)... then a very light, slightly sweet taste, breathy...in a word.
I think the vanilla really helps the violet shine but remains a background note enough not to overpower the violet...can almost taste the purple color of the flower... we'll see what steeping does.

A very soft, clean, refreshing flavor, sure to be a summer-vape.

Any other Floral Vapers out there please post some recipes...wondering what the others may taste like, esp. Honeysuckle and Rose?

Also any concerns about inhaling flower extracts?

I am currently trying to perfect floral vapes based on Jasmine (a Jasmine Vanilla, actually, and a Jasmine Shisha clone), and I'm going to start working on a Lavender and a Rose this weekend.

Floral vapes are VERY tricky. The balancing point between getting enough floral flavor to be recognizable and interesting, and being overly perfumey is a tough balance to strike. And many people just don't like Floral vapes anyway, because they have no experience with flowers in food or drink, so finding people to help you taste-test and troubleshoot them is difficult.

As soon as I get my Jasmines locked in, I'll post recipes, but it is a tedious, delicate, and frustrating process, to be sure.

This is a topic I am VERY interested in, and I am planning on making my first big batched of DIY as florals (and a few NET flavors too, but that's a completely different thread...)

Stay in touch, and we can maybe work on these recipes, and swap ideas.

I'm using Flavour Art Jasmine.

But I think I may change to TFA, because I've heard very good things about their florals, and I'm not having much luck matching this FA Jasmine with other flavors to rouond it out...

Sounds great StereoDreamer!

Jasmine sounds like it would make a great vape, I had not seen that flavor.

I do like my juices on the slightly sweeter and stronger side so keep that in mind if trying my recipe.

Best of luck with your recipes...I'll 'friend' ya, might make it easier to keep track.

Well, you said you were using TFA flavorings right? They don't have Jasmine under their TFA listings. They DO have it under TPA though--several different variants, in fact.

I called them about it, and they said they don't have enough info on it's safety for vaping to include it in that part of their catalog, and they couldn't recommend it for that. They didn't tell me it was dangerous or would cause known health problems, but that they didn't have enough data.

I'm using Flavour Arts Jasmine flavoring, FWIW...

Just fyi violet candy is not a stealth vape! Very perfumy in the air. Works good with a spot of rasberry also.

Yeah, Jasmine vapes are sort of the same. When you get the flavor adjusted correctly to taste, the aroma is room-filling, even with a small exhale...

Yes a florals topic!

I will thirds the cherry blossom; don't like it on its own but is a great floral mixer - made a rose/cherry blossom/dragonfruit mix that was very tasty.

Rose is my favorite floral - TFA rose candy was, to me, a very pure rose and not candy at all. NF rose, ironically, is very sweet on its own. Both excellent, and I mixed them STRONG. Currently vaping a NF rose/FA ylang-ylang combo; very exotic.

FA lavender is tasty but will turn perfume-y real quick... best as a secondary flavor I have found. More experimentation needed. Lavender rose, lavender tobacco (black honey tobacco), lavender jasmine... works with everything really, IMO.

Jasmine is tricky, I have experimented a lot with this myself. Jury is still out on FA jasmine, haven't been able to produce anything good with it yet. I have a decent juice made with a couple drops of jasmine absolute. (Not sure if unsafe or not). Is a great base, needs sweetener and some vanilla... I am experimenting but the original mix steeped for like 3 months. Stereo had a real good jasmine mix; keep tabs on that dude he knows what's up.

Have not tried a honeysuckle that I liked; all perfume-y and too "airy" for me. Honey flavor does go well with florals but it is exceedingly hard to find decent honey flavoring.

My new thing is putting FA oak wood in all my florals, adds a good depth. AP also works but I like to trade that out for wood with the florals. A tiny drop of tobacco absolute also works.

In general I would say pick a flower or two, add a woody undertone, and add EM & sweetener.

OK while typing that I put in the tank of jasmine/lavender (both FA) and it is tasting better and better by the day. Flavoring is 20%, half and half. There is 2 drops of oak wood and ~10 drops EM (10%). I am going to go back and add a touch of vanilla butternut to see what happens but this tank is hitting very good! Many would find it too perfume-y. I would lessen the flavor a bit next time

My wife's latest go-to juice is a dragon fruit, I happen to have cherry blossom on the way from TFA, yea, any chance you remember your percentages for florals with the dragon fruit?

I am currently working on a blueberry-honeysuckle mix, haven't quite got it yet, if I ever manage to hit it, I will be doing the victory dance and post it :)

Thanks for that compliment. That jasmine vape that you tried at the January White Rose meetup had been steeping for about two weeks, and was just pure dumb luck, I think. But I DID write down the recipe, and I'm working on perfecting it...

Missed you at the February White Rose meetup--did you not attend, or did I just miss you (I didn't get there until almost 7pm...)

Anyway, I shoul dbe at the March White Rose event too--and by they I think I will have my Jasmine Shisha (and a peach Shisha) vape worked out, and I'm going to try and have a few more straight florals (Jasmine, Lavender and Rose) as well as a BIG selection of my most recent NET-based juices, which are look REALLY promising...

hmmm cherry blossom was the strongest one, I remember that. I think it was something like 50% rose, 30% DF, 20% cherry blossom. Total flavoring at 18% most likely. It was TFA rose candy & cherry blossom and FA dragonfruit, I think. I use NF rose now.

That honeysuckle blueberry sounds great lemme know when you get there!

Interesting thread. I'm about to start dabbling with DIY. Looking through all the flavors is a bit overwhelming though. I'm not really into fruits or desserts so the tobaccos have been my main focus. The florals have been catching my eye though along with teas, herbs and spices. Have you guys tried any tea flavors with these florals? Jasmine tea is one of my favorites, seems like it would be a good vape.

I'll be checking back to see what you figure out for hibiscus. Im such a newbie and I WAS going to flavor black tea with it. Before I got the tea I added it to a small amt of a Pomegranite recipe I like and totally ruined it! So I'm intimidated to try my tea idea and it just sits collecting dust. I like to try different things. My Rose Candy with malty at a pretty high percentage was surprisingly good. I just got violet candy and only 3 MLs. Do people add anything to that? All these except Hiabiscus is Natures Flaors. The Flavors Apprentis for Hiabiscus. I'll follow thread. Jasmine is my list to buy.

Very interesting. I've been thinking of trying florals for some time. I am a huge fan of rose and would love to vape it, though many flavours seem to be oil based...

Next on my list is TFA Hibiscus

Glad to see there's a floral thread! Haven't started DIY'ing yet, but plan to soon, as soon as I can invest some cash. One of the first things that occurred to me was floral....rose, lavender, violet, chamomile, etc. All these plants lend themselves to easy extraction too, so it should be possible to start from scratch and create some nice ones. I'll be real interested to know what others are coming up with in this area!
