Eyo! After a first failed attempt (ruining the little gasket on the positive contact) I had finally finished my first ever mod/usb 510 passthru! I googled how exactly the best way to solder the 510 connector, just so I didnt screw up another one, and even with soldering iron problems, I got it done. Put heat shrinks where needed BADA BING
Also upon just trying to touch the contacts to an atomizer I found out that you need something a bit beefier to run this 5v vape. After someone telling me I needed an output of at least 2.5 amps I found this perfect USB hub at radioshack that you can plug into the wall for ~$30. It also charges my phone wayy faster than my phone's stock charger or laptop does so I'm pretty pleased with my purchase.
Check it out:
Ya, could've been just a little neater but practice makes perfect. I used the usb cord from an njoy charger, seemed a suitable repurpose since those things are quite useless, its all I had so I gotta grab a usb extension cord.
Man, this thing vapes awesome. SOO much vapor, goes through two drips in 3 or 4 big drags. First taste of 5v vaping. Can't wait for the 18350's to come through, I have a lot of beat up LED flashlights I've bought at work over the years I'm gonna turn into mods.
