Evod batteries

I had picked up a evod starter kit last year around Christmas and have started to use it again. But i have found that it really doesn't last very long so then i figured i might check into getting a second battery as a back up. Which led me to wonder about something else.

Are Evod and ego the same? While looking i haven't seen anything on evod batteries, just ego. I have also been wondering, i am pretty much broke seven days a week and right now have around 8 bucks to burn on a battery. Is there anything i could afford that can connect to an aspire glass tank? While back i had to pick up a glass tank to avoid the immediate shattering of all the junk plastic ones that came with the kit.

If it helps the one i was looking at is, VapeOnly eGo 650mAh Battery - Black Whether it's better or worse then what i have, i have no idea. What i have is an Kangertech evod P1404, not sure what "mAh" that one is. I also use the aspire coil at 1.8 ohms.

Is the one I'm looking at the same thing or maybe weaker/stronger?

Thanks

Yes the Kanger Evod Stick Battery is of the Ego Class of battery. It is older technology, Kanger's Version is just a newer incarnation of the Joyetech/Ovale Ego. The only upgrade to a base Ego class is the Variable Voltage versions, called either a Twist (Joyetech style), Spinner (Vision Version), or Winder (Smok Tech Version). Eleaf also makes a newer updated version, just an Ego Twist, 1700mah capacity, and has a built in Android USB charge port (USB Style C).

Hello @lokiie1984,
Evod and Ego aren't the same but in your case, as it refers to
the type of PV you're using it is.
Usually Ego refers to the thread on a mod, which is usually 510 or ego or both.
Not absolutely sure what mAh the P1404 runs at but I'm fairly sure it's 650 mAh
so the one in the link above won't last much longer than the one you have. Same thing.

If by "Aspire glass tank" at 1.8Ohm you mean like a ViviNova
then 650 will work but you should consider saving your 8 bucks
until you have $40 or so and get a Evic mini or something you can grow with
and which will last much longer.
However, knowing what being broke is about
and how you feel when the battery dies I suggest you save 4 more bucks and
get a variable voltage ego type PV like a Twist or a Vison Spinner II , 1600 mAh on Ebay
with free shipping..from the states so you'll have it soon.

Thanks for the replies. I will check into the Twist or one of the other variable voltage ones, for now i may pick up the one i linked just for a spare. My issue is right now once the battery dies i can go about an hour until I'm at the store to buy cigarettes. If i have a bag of tobacco on hand i can hold off on that until the ecig is ready but that stuff just makes the house smell horrible (cigarette tobacco in a pipe.)

Some longer lasting batteries would be nice though so maybe once i have a little extra cash i will grab one of those off ebay.

Lokie, i just received a joyetech AIO from a friend, amazing little mod(14.99)at 101vape , internal 1600mah battery i believe, just fill and vape....and very satisfying......i have over 300mods and this little thing really impresses me. Another option is the IJUST START kit(101vape9.99$!!!)going to buy a few of each to give to smokers wanting to quit....and one for myself. Id reccomend either one as the new plug and play tech is really advancing. Good luck

I did take a quick look at ebay but the only 1600 that i see is from china. But i do see a 1300 that might work. eGO1 1300mAh battery for vaporizer vape pen kit - US Seller or ☆USA☆ ego Batterie/battery C-Twist 1300mah Variable Voltage Vape Pen MT3 Spinner

The second one being only five dollars would be a perk. Scratch that, the second one is actually 10 something... tricky ebayers. Might have to try it though anyway.

$11.98...maybe stand on a corner with a sign...
VISION SPINNER II 2 (white) 1600mAh battery VV Variable Voltage VAPE

I still use three of those VisionSpinners...have all kinds of other stuff
but those still get used.
My first was an overpriced Atmos 650mAh my old lady got me for b-day/fathers day
for 70 buck at the mall, then I bought one just like it for 6 bucks on ebay. LOL

The charger on your 650 will work so don't let whether it's included be an issue.
Have phun! :)

Hm i will save that one. Only a lil more then the other one i was looking at on ebay. I do surveys on a website that pays tiny amounts of cash (75 cents to a 1.25) so wouldn't take much to get enough.

Thanks for the help Hazy, I am curious though, with the 1600 vs what i assume is 650 for what i have, would it give a stronger hit?

If your 650 isn't variable yes, the VSII or any variable voltage will give you a stronger hit
'cause you can heat the coil faster and with more voltage. Using a 1.8Ohm coil my experience
is that on a Vivi Nova glass you can get decent vapor (I use VG, DIY) at 4.3 volts.

I recommend you read up on ohm's law here on the forum.

Also, careful with those survey deals...You usually need to accumulate 50 dollars b4
they'll pay you, it takes 30 days for it to go into your PP account, and after
they pay a few times they'll start turning you down for surveys or want your driver's license ETC b4 they issue a pay out.

My pleasure.

This one thankfully isn't like that. All you need is five dollars and it hits my paypal account the next morning.

Think i will pick up the one you linked. Sounds like it will be a better bet then just another one like what i have. It's pretty basic.

Oh good for you then mate. I was bored the other night and signed up my mom for a bunch of those.
I did a bunch of surveys for her but most of them are scams. Glad you found a real one.
Then you don't need a cardboard sign..LOL, just do some surveys man, get that and you'll see the difference both in the vapor production at a higher voltage and how long it lasts.

But if you get seriously back into vaping aim for 45 bucks worth of surveys
and maybe another 20 for a good tank and you'll be thankful you did.
Though like I said, my vision spinners are still in the cycle...

Hazy

It has always been hard for me to really get into it as a main source of nicotine for two reasons. One it really makes my breathing worse then when i smoke. I have copd which should be a sign to just stop smoking all together but i guess i just dont wanna yet. So you would think using the ecig would be the better choice but for some reason i end up needing to use an inhaler a lot more often when i use them. That part is tolerable though, i have medication that helps with that, advair and the albuterol inhaler.

The other issue i have always had is i have no sense of smell, so i cant taste the vapor. Once in a while i will get a sorta taste but it doesn't taste like the flavor I'm using, just taste like something. But over all i prefer the ecig, it just never seems to work for me. A stronger setup could improve that though.

Maybe for Christmas this year i will burn a lil and invest in a decent setup.
