Eleaf Istick Rim 80W With Melo 5

I thank eleaf Eleafworld Homepage for sending me this sample, with different and interesting new features that improve and simplify the use of the electronic cigarette, also thanks to the new Melo5 atomizer.
I publish this review of mine at the same time as the official presentation of the product, indicated to me by eleaf for 07-05-2019 at 24.00 in Hong Kong.

Powered by a built-in 3000 mAh battery, the Istick Rim can reach 80 W of maximum power, adopts a well-sized power button and a sufficiently large LED screen.

At the rear we find a soft rubber insert that is pleasant to touch with the palm of your hand.

The gold plated pin 510 is sprung, the cup houses atomisers up to 28mm without leaking.

The upper part is pleasantly connected with the rest of the battery, allowing us to use even much smaller atomizers like a 22-23mm, maintaining a good aesthetic impact.

In the lower part there are the vent holes and the charging socket.

We therefore have a USB Type-C connection with QC 3.0 which allows us to recharge the device completely in just 40 minutes using a special '' bi-functional '' cable.

Innovative functions
Dry Protection protection for 0.6Ohm coils:
When the dry burn protection (Dry Protection translated) intervenes, the screen displays "Dry Protections" and the supply stops automatically.
To continue vaping, it is therefore necessary to fill the tank and make sure that the level of liquid in the atomizer is between 10% and 90% (note that the protection against dry burning comes into operation only when the device is set below 30W and using EC-S coils 0.6ohm 15-30W)

Protection from autofire or accidental activation:
We have the possibility to set the option with automatic interruption of the shot after 5-10-15 seconds, when the value we have selected is reached, the box automatically switches off, if we really want to make continuous shots longer than 15 seconds and without limits , we have the possibility to deactivate this function.

As for the Melo 5 atomizer, it can contain up to 4 ml of liquid and is assisted by new types of EC coils.
It has a renewed top filling system with a child safety lock. To protect the buble tank there are some silicone rings which to some extent will protect the pyrex glass from breaking.

The spare Pyrex Bubble tank is '' classic '' that is without the protection rings (Bodygard).

Another noteworthy feature is the ability to replace coils even with the tank filled with liquid.
The apple tree 5 is available in 6 different colors.

pin 510 does not protrude much and is gold plated

The air regulation makes use of different adjustment possibilities, ranging from the MTL shooting to 15w with a coil from 0.6 up to the open pulmonary throw with 0.15Ohm coil

Final considerations.
This kit is suitable and recommended for those who need an innovative product, easy to use, convenient and pocket-sized, with great autonomy and reduced downtime (recharge)
