eleaf istick Pico Plus 75W by sourcemore
When I started my adventure in the world of Vaping, the Pico 75W began its extraordinary and bright career. Pico 75 immediately became a "Must" for several reasons, consequently its positive characteristics have contributed over the years to spread the Pico 75 more and more all over the world. The pico 75W over time has also been enhanced by numerous Aftermarket accessories and also by some alternative Firmware made by groups of passionate admirers of this Mod.

Before reaching the obvious decision to "replicate" the original project, Eleaf also tried to propose more or less successful reinterpretations of the Pico 75, but these releases were not always welcomed by fans. Comparisons with the original version by both users and important influencers have always been in favor of the progenitor Pico.

This time with the iStick Pico Plus 75W I have the impression that Eleaf has finally made the right choice by investing in a design of sure success!
    Enjoy the reading.

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod, feeling:
The mod was sent to me in its elegant Black color, only time will tell if the quality of the applied paint will be better and longer lasting than the previous models. The faint paint was perhaps one of the few flaws of the legendary original Pico 75.

This restyling keeps substantially unchanged; the line, the compactness and the weight of the previous model. Exception of two obvious protrusions of the upper / lower plates that offer a good grip of the Mod in the hand, as you can well imagine.
These protrusions are the first reason why the new Pico is visually distinguishable from the old Pico.

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod Vs Pico 75:
In the side view the only perceptible differences concern the aforementioned protruding plates, the more protruding Fire key and the processing on the battery cap.

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod Vs Pico 75:
From the front we therefore have a new, more protruding Fire button but with the same shape as the original one and a new Type-C charging socket. Everything else has remained visually unchanged. On the back the Plus offers the exact same grip as the previous model.

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod Vs Pico 75:
The lower part of the new model can count on a wider base which certainly offers more stability to the device in an upright position.
The vent holes for safety, the arrangement of the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons are the same as the first version, while on the new model the size of the "Eleaf" writing and the various logos on the bottom have been reduced.

I notice some small differences in screwing / unscrewing the battery cap, the thread of the Plus version seems smoother, moreover the Pico Plus has a protection made of insulating material inside the compartment / battery, while in the old version this area was only painted.

At the top nothing has changed except for a greater distance between the 510 thread and the battery cap. This is why the Pico Plus can use 2mm more space to accommodate tanks up to 25mm in diameter.

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod, Dry Proof:
This technology was implemented in the Eleaf circuit not quite recently, in fact it was initially presented on the Eleaf Istick Rim 80W Mod and allowed the coils present in the Melo 5 Tank to be protected from premature burn. The screen displayed "Dry Protections" and delivery stopped progressively avoiding damage to the coil. To continue vaping, it was therefore necessary to fill the tank and make sure that the liquid level in the atomizer was between 10% and 100%. Unfortunately, the dry burn protection only activated when the device was set below 30W and only if EC-S 0.6ohm 15-30W coils were used.

Also in the Pico Plus this setting (if activated) intervenes by progressively interrupting the Puff in cases of sudden overheating of the Coil due to lack of liquid in the Tank. Also in this case the function is applicable only to the Melo Tank coils. Unfortunately I cannot test the effectiveness of the "updated" Dry Proof as I have not been sent the new Tank Melo 4S that I remember can also be purchased separately here: https://www.sourcemore.com/eleaf-melo-4s- tank.html

Eleaf iStick Pico Plus Mod Vs Pico 75 Vs Pico 25:
If you are nostalgic of the Pico 75 you will remember the Pico 25 version which allowed you to install tanks larger than the usual 23mm, however the fragility of the plastic structures of this Mod soon made many vaper's regret the dear Pico 75 which was built totally in sturdy metal .
Now finally, having the Pico 75 Plus you will get the advantages of both the previous 75 and 25 versions in the same device.
