► Eleaf iJust P40; First Impressions:
Eleaf is a giant in the vaping world and has an incredibly rich catalog of kits to satisfy any need. I just finished the review of Eleaf iStick i40 Kit which in some respects is very similar to iJust P40 Kit of this test. However there are some differences, Eleaf has sought greater compactness without giving up a large internal battery. The performances for MTL and RDL with the GTL D20 cartridge instead of the GTL D20 tank are of equivalent and excellent level. In the image below you can see Ijust P40 Kit together with iStick i40 Kit, this pair of devices shares the same GTL coil platform, of course the 40W power limit of both indicates the choice in favor of 0.4, 0.8 Coils and 1.2Ω.

► Eleaf iJust P40; How it is made:
For this test I received two different kits, one with a "Greenery" color and the other with a Black color, the mix of plastics is well assembled and makes the device ultra-light, the body with an ultra-smooth finish looks as if it were rubberized and offers a very pleasant tactile feedback. The handle brings the slider key for adjusting the air flow up and in a very comfortable position. The button regulates two side slots and has a counter rotation, remaining fixed and precise in the set position. The airflow can be easily adjusted to restricted mode for MTL, or loose mode for RDL. The writings "Eleaf" and "iJust P:40" appear on the body of the device which are silver in color and stand out much better on the black mod. The front of Ijust P40 shows the Fire key at the top, slightly protruding and round in shape. At the bottom there are the "+" and "-" adjustment keys, in the center is the screen which contains several LEDs to indicate the battery charge level and the selected power level.

The real-time battery level of iJust P40 can be quickly monitored with a simple glance at the LED light under the Fire button.
    • Red Led Light: The battery charge level is equal to or less than 20%
    • Blue Led Light: The battery charge level is between 20% and 59%
    • Green Led Light: The battery charge level is between 60% and 100%

The Smart chipset of Eleaf iJust P40 automatically selects the appropriate power for each coil, avoiding the user from running into setting errors with premature burning of the resistance, however it is possible to set the power downwards or upwards. So the device reaches 40W of maximum power only when the coil allows it and this is a really smart function. The power range is between 5 and 40W with power steps of 5W at click.

The support base of Eleaf iJust P40 is wide enough to guarantee a stable position of the Mod, also on the bottom there are; 3 safety vent holes for the cell, the disposal logo, the C E mark, the Type-C charging port for the internal 1,500mAh battery.

In the compartment / pod there is the classic metal ring for the magnetic attraction of the cartridge, the contact pins are floating and gold plated for better electrical conductivity.

    ► Eleaf iJust P40; GTL D20 cartridge:
The classic POD in Pctg with a circular shape and light color uses a rather strong magnetic connection. The drip tip is wide enough, however it is replaceable with any 510 type drip tip. The cartridge can be refilled with e-liquid from the top (3ml) by sliding the top cap and following the arrow. The GTL Coil is inserted from the bottom with a slight pressure.

    ► Eleaf GTL Coils:
You can use GTL D20 Pod with the great platform of replaceable GTL coils, in the kit you get two 0.4Ω and 0.8Ω GTL mesh coils

► Eleaf iJust P40; Final conclusions:
To test iJust P40 I used a PG/VG 50:50 eliquid with concentrated strawberry flavor diluted at 10% + boost 3mg/ml.

    • 0.8Ω GTL Mesh Coil 12-18W :
When you use this coil for the first time, the Smart function selects a 15W power by default. The reactivity of the Mesh allows a satisfactory use, personally I like to adjust the AFC open for about 1/3, in this way I get a concentrated flavor with the best possible perception of the nicotine present in my e-liquid. What really struck me about this resistance is the impressive amount of vapor it can emit with such a low selected power, all of this is to the advantage of battery life and vape autonomy.

    • 0.4Ω GTL Mesh Coil 20-30W :
At the time of using this resistor the intelligent function of the chipset suggests and automatically sets a power of 25W, of course you can choose a different value. The RDL type extraction recalls a position of the AFC open at least 50%, in this way you get a good flavor, large dense clouds and a decisive Hit (throat hit), the Mesh is reactive and works flawlessly and without "you spit". By selecting 20W which is the minimum recommended power, you get good performance and excellent battery life.

Eleaf iJust P40 has an ergonomic and really compact form factor, it weighs only 60g! The cartridge is really well designed with a convenient top refill and very little condensation during extended use. The 1500mAh battery recharges in about 50 minutes and has a duration that will accompany you throughout the day (if you're not too compulsive). Eleaf Ijust P40 is a universal device and based on the GTL coils you decide to use, you can choose your favorite RDL or MTL vaping mode with satisfaction and without inconvenience.
