OK, so I'm fairly new to vaping, decided to rebuild my coils, I bought 24g wire (kanthal) and Japanese cotton pads... I've watched plenty of how to videos, but I can't seem to get it quire right....

I rebuilt two tonight, they work but just aren't giving off the same amount of vape that the store bought ones are....
I'm using the eleaf Ijust 2. Its amazing and I really love it, just need some advice on coils rebuilds. :+) ty.

24 guage is some pretty thick wire. Because it is thick wire, it heats very slowly unless you are putting lots of watts of power into it. How about getting some 28 guage Kanthal and starting from there ... I think you will be much happier.

Are you a mouth to lung vaper, or do you do big straight lung hits?

Also, how many ohms are you making this coil, and how many watts are you feeding the coil?

Straight lung hits, (there is no other way in my opinion, lol) and I watched a video on YouTube to see how to rebuild but it was a "melo" rebuild so not exactly the same. But I did exactly ad the vid said(because I could not find an ijust 2 coil rebuild vid ) so I would assume .5 coil....but really I would like to make a .3 coil, because that is what I buy from the store... and wattage says 30 to 80 watts depending on battery level

You are doing great if you got a couple going. No reason to spend money on the rebuild able as it would serve no purpose. Congrats to you. 24 is very thick wire. SS316L can get you lower ohms than Kanthal. I use 25 twisted Kanthal wire to hit .3. That is one of the hardest coils to build to reach them ohms. Keep up the good work.

Try this
Eleaf Melo, Melo 2 & iJust 2 ECR Rebuildable Atomizer Head

I'm looking into buying this for my sons ijust2. He really likes it but goes through replacement coils like crazy! He wants to keep it but build his own wire coils. This is all new to me. Can you recommend what gauge wire I should get him to use with this rebuildable top? I'm not sure I understand how to get lower or higher ohms when you make your own wire coils. Thanks!

I just bought a Ijust2 and tried today and the Aspire Triton Rebuildable System works in the Ijust 2 tank.

you can get this nice rebuildable head for 9.99 in some vape shops......
Are you having any trouble with the Aspire Triton Rebuildable System? Any dry hits or anything? I'm looking at buying a rebuildable for my sons ijust2. What size wire do you use for making your coils? Thanks!

The rebuildable system called Triton is good and don't get dry hits----I use 28 guage kanthal seems to work the best and heats up

fast......

Anybody have any luck with those ECR heads? I'm getting dry hits as well. It's a pretty flimsy set up, overall...I'm having trouble getting the coil to stay put. It doesn't seem much easier than just gutting a stock head and building a new vertical coil.
I gave up on them after I tried different builds & wicks, it seems like the space between the OD of the ECR coil & ID of the chimney is too small which restricts juice flow to the wick.
