Hi,
Looking for some advice.
I love the size and capacity of this tank, but I'm disappointed with the 1.5 ohm BDC coils.
Getting burnt taste very quickly, even on low watts. And I've primed them till I'm blue in the face!

I had similar problems with Aspire BDC until they replaced with BVC.

Does anyone know of any other coils ( preferably 1.5 ohm) that would fit this tank?
Would Eleaf Air 2 coils fit for example (and would they be any better), or any others?

Thanks.

Yes, sadly... there are a few 'nonsense' products currently in the Eleaf line -up.

The Pure Cotton Air TC coils (Ni) don't work at all (unless you want to vape at the equivalent of about 6w)
The standard 1.2 ohm GS Air (Kanthals) are pretty good at all as long as you don't mind 10w-15w and some PG in your liquid.

Are the ones you have these?

Maybe these are different?

I just buy the 1.2ohm Eleaf Pure Cotton coils from China for about £5.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the GS Air Dual Coil heads are the ones I used.

And yes, I'm a MTL vaper so 10-15W is fine for me, and I use 70PG/30VG juice, so are these the the 1.2 ohm pure cotton ones that should also fit? Are they single vertical coils as opposed to BDC?

Eleaf GS Air 2 Coil Head (5 Pack)

I'm desperate to get something to work with this otherwise handy wee tank to use with my eleaf istick mini 20W mods for sticking in my pocket when out and about.

The Air '2' coils are not the ones I use. The new ones ought to be better, really, otherwise why bother.
Then again, as I said... the Nickel TC ones are as good as useless, so Eleaf are not exactly reliable.

I'm still on the original

$6.74 Authentic Eleaf GS-Tank Pure Cotton Coil Head (5-Pack) - 1.2ohm(8-30W) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I bought 40 (8 packs) over the last year. No way, Jose am I paying £10.99 for UK purchase.

  • Eleaf GS-Tank Pure Cotton Coil Head
  • (5-Pack) 1.2ohm(8-30W)
  • Gs Air Tank Use

There is much love on here for GS Air tanks so all the many fans must know which version of the coils they use.

I've not had a bad 'old' 1.2ohm coil. I am on pack 2 or 3 and can't complain at all. My missus is using them now at 12w. I use them nearer 15w.

They won't do 30w (that's a flippin' joke) but they do work for 10-15w and very nicely with 70% PG. No problem with that.

Thanks for that. Will give them try and see how they go :)

The GS Air is a great little affordable tank!

One thing that may help on the 1.5 coils you have is to put a drop or two down the little hole
in the top of the coil. This get some juice straight to the dual coils in the interior. If you check
out my blog, you can see how thick the liner material is under the cap. Also might want to
consider recoiling the 1.5's. :)
Lots of helpful folks over here...Eleaf GS Air Fan : Part 2
Cheers!
