I tried some searching and googling but the answer wasn't really obvious. So I hope it's okay if I ask here.

I just got a eGo Twist today (I'm using my eGo-C charger with it)

When I plug it in to charge the LED on the twist is solid white. Is this normal? Also the charger is red but blinks green very quickly about once per 1-2 seconds.

I'm a noob, but I also just got my Ego-C Twist today, 2 of them in the type starter pack I ordered. I plugged one in, and it did just like yours. The white LED on the Twist is, I think, an indication that the battery is turned on -- try pressing that button gently 5 times and see if the white light goes off. Alternatively, it may be that the white light always comes on the battery when it is charging, I can't personally say for sure. The light on my charger also was mostly red but occasionally blinked green ... I left it on the charger and it turned solid green in about an hour.

However, others on this form suggested that my Twists might have come already charged. So I put the second one together right out of the box instead of charging it first, and it is working just fine.

I've not run into a solid white but that's not normal. But I have run into weird blinking patterns before. And Googling? Forget about it. joyetech doesn't seem to publish anything about it. My vendor swapped out the weirdly blinking (and not working) battery but couldn't get Joye to tell them what the blinking mean either.

Shrug?

Now, normal charging, the charger blinks green now and then. I can't tell if that's some "checking to see if the battery's done yet" thing or if it's just because the battery's getting close to done but I see it with mine all the time. Charger sits to the far left of me here at the computer so the flash of green sometime catches my attention. It's doing it right now actually.

But the white LED on the Twist is not on. The normal pattern is when you screw the battery onto the charger, the white LED on the battery blinks about five times. Then the charger goes red (meaning charging) or green (meaning charged). Steady white on the battery? I have no idea. Contact the vendor. It could mean something's wrong.

Heh, the one I swapped out did bizarre blinky patterns when I put it on the charger and the charger blinked with it. I bet it's some kind of diagnostic code thing programmed in the chip but Joye doesn't seem to tell anybody what the heck it means...

I Have 3 of the Vision Spinner batteries...The white light on my Vision is the button you push to take a draw...when I charge mine...that white light will come on and stay on for about half of the battery charge, then goes off...this is only if I have let my battery drain way down. It IS normal. As far as your actual charger being red, then every once in a while blink green, that too is normal...it's the chargers way of checking it..when it turns green and stays green, it's done.

I think this battery is a lemon

After about 10 minutes of use it quit firing, and now every time I press the button it blinks white 10 times.

You could try to raise the center pin with a small screwdriver or paperclip very slightly. Maybe it's not making contact with the charger. But I'd contact the supplier.

The Vision Spinner will stay lit for about half the charge cycle.
The Twist (mine anyway) don't stay lit while charging.
The flashing 10 times when trying to fire it, means the battery needs to be charged.
The battery (both models) will flash several times when first screwed onto the charger.
The charger will alternate Red/Green during the charge cycle (checking current voltage level) and will turn Green upon fully charging the battery.
IF the battery is not depleted and is screwed onto the charger, the charger will remain Green.
Pushing the fire button will force the charger into charge mode and "top off" the battery, unless the battery is very close to a fully charged state, if so the charger will flash and turn green.
Inserting your tong into the charger will cause it to turn blue and a small explosion will occur.

i have strange led issues now on my 2 new batteries that i just got. instructions said to charge before use. i did . when they finished, i turned them on by doing the clicking 5 times blue light flashed 3 times. i knew it was fully charged, so used it. only the blue light lights up upon activation....never have seen a white light on it. is working fine, just a blue activation. this was my first purchase from fasttech, and maybe that is how their ego-c works??? anyone know???

Short circuit, or if you can charge it and after that, it only work for some minutes and then does the 10 times blinking, also if it does it with the atty, and stops the wrong beahviour if you unscrew the atty, it's the batterie inner cell almost dead.

Thanks for the info everyone

I put it on the charger and it worked for about 4-5 pulls. Then it started with the 10 blinks again

I plugged it into the charger and the twist has the solid white LED. Also the charger is alternating between red and green..once per second or so...red green red green red green, etc

I did buy this at a local B&M so I may just ride back over there.

The going from red to green is normal...that's the chargers way of checking if it's done charging or not...Have you left it on the charger until that light turns green and stays green? This will take a few hours of charging. If not...do that..don't remove it from the charger until that light stays green for a bit...then and only then, take it off and try it out.

Yesterday I left it on the charger for about 3 hours. The charger light turned solid green and stayed that way.

I took it off the charger and gently screwed on my protank. Vaped fine for about 3 minutes then it started the 10 LED blinks again.

Yeah, that's a return. These batteries have little microchips that manage things like charging and all. Maybe you got one that's a liar. :)
