im trying to decide with one of these to add to my next order, and ive ran into a few threads where people complained of the quality with the spinners, charging issues, and button breaking? so i figured just to pick up a TWIST and stay with something reliable.

does anyone know if this is really the case? or maybe if theres any revised versions of the spinner somewhere?? i would love the extra battery life if its worth it

I've been reading about some folks having problems with the Spinner also. I have two from different vendors and haven't had a problem with either of mine.

If I had to choose between the Twist and the Spinner, the Spinner would win out for sure.

I like that it's fatter and slightly shorter than the Twist and is higher mAh, but what really makes the Spinner better is the knurled end and larger, more readable numbers. I have to put on my reading glasses and get in good lighting to see the markings on the Twist. If you have young eyes, maybe that won't be a problem for you. :)

Hope that you end up liking which ever one you decide on!

I had purchased a spinner for back up for my back up for my back up as a just in case. Charged it up and played with it for about 30 minuets. It did not impress me.

Girlfriend had two spinners go bad and had to return them to supplier. I sent mine to her. She used it for 3 weeks and it went dead too. Maybe she should be crowned the spinner killer! lol One of the replacements her supplier resent her has already died. In my opinion, this is way too many dead / malfunctioning spinners. I won't buy another one and neither will she. ymmv

I have no knowledge about the twist. Sorry I can't help you on that.

I like the Twist and the Spinner. They seem to be of similar quality and build. The Spinner has an 8 second cutoff which was a problem for me only with the Vivi Nova.

That said, I recently dropped both a Twist and a Spinner within two days of each other. And they both broke in exactly the same way, with the button coming off the circuit board and becoming unusable. So try not to drop them, haha.

ETA: As the poster above me pointed out, it is much easier to see the numbers at the bottom with the Spinner. That is definitely a big plus.

I like the ego v. It comes in Passthrough or non. It's harder to find because spinner and twist pushed them out. It's buttons, led comes with silicon soft button or hard buttons. Silicone style keeps e juice and dust out. I just replaced my silicone buttons after 3 months. I use them to have an atty available when I want to do few it's like that and I also like how the 3 ml pyrex tank looks on them. I saw one on Hoosiers called Kgo v. Same thing but maybe a little different on the battery. I never understood the kgo thing. They started out 650 mag and they have more mah now but 900. 1000. I don't remember. The silicone replacements are .69 cents and $1.50 or something delivered if you opt out of tracking numbers

I have two spinner batteries and an ego twist. I much prefer the spinner batteries. They seem to have more power fresh off the charger. For example, I sometimes use DCC's, and the spinner seems to be able to handle them better. Also, I seem to notice voltage sag a lot sooner with the twist battery whereas I can usually push the spinners all the way to where the light blinks. The spinners seem well built to me, and it's a lot easier to set the voltage on them.

I've owned 2 Spinners and 2 Twists. One of my spinners died within 2 months. The button got stuck inside. Also comparing the 900mah twist to the 1300mah Spinner, the battery life on the Spinner isn't very impressive. It seems to last about the same or even less than the Twist. Definitely doesn't last 13 hours. More like 8. I think the volt settings on the Twist are more accurate as well. You can just tell by the draw when you inhale. All in all I just think the twist is higher quality.

I thought the amp limit on the Spinners was lower. That's the one reason that I've never bought one. I want something with a high enough amp limit to use with dual coils.

How long have you had your Spinners? Are they still handling dual coils ok? Are they still charging ok?

I have Twists and one Spinner - a 400mAh VV. They perform equally. It's easier to see the voltage on the spinner but I don't change it much. The one thing about the eGo-c twist is it has better short and battery protection circuits. You can still blow out the short protection with a shorted coil but they still work until you do it again, and so far none has blown up and some tech people have really tried to blow them up unsuccessfully.
