Hey

I found my father's ego-t (atleast that was written on the case) which he never used (he got it like 4 years ago) and now it's not turning on. On the charger it light up both the button with a slow blink and the green led on the charger, so it's charged i guees... But when i unplug the charger it stops working. Can't turn on and i couldn't find any solution. I'm pressing the button but nothing happens, not even the 5 fast clicks.

Do you guys have any idea?

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
It's probably dead and will have to be replaced. It's been a while since I used an eGo, so I don't remember what the flash code means exactly, but most of them have a solid light while charging and then go out completely when charged. It's got a LiPo battery in it, they don't last forever. If it has discharged below a certain minimum point while sitting on the shelf-- they do that-- the battery will not take a new charge.

Sorry for the bad news, and welcome to the board.

I gues i have to buy a new one, do you have any recommendation?
That would depend upon your "end game" expectations. Are you going to try vaping for recreational reasons? Or are you going to use the device to try to stop smoking?

"eGo" batteries are a class of vape batteries, often nicknamed "pen" style batteries because of their form factor. Advances have been made since the old eGo T. I believe they have advanced up to the Vision Spinner 2 or 3 by now. They now have variable voltage, which allows you to adjust your vape "on the fly".

Battery life per charge will depend upon the length of the battery and mAh rating. The shorter 600 mah battery will last about 6 hours of vaping, while the longer 1300 mAh battery will last about 13 hours of vape time.

If you are going to begin vaping as a means to stop smoking, there are a multitude of setups that would probably be a better choice than an eGo battery setup. It all depends upon your expectations for battery life per charge, form factor, overall size and type of battery used, size (capacity) of the juice attachment, durability, etc.

Yes, internal batteries especially if stored or discharged for a long time won't hold a charge (although I guess the same could be said for external or removal batteries.)

It's hard to give a recommendation for a new kit without knowing a bit more about what you want from a vape. Do you prefer a tighter draw, low vapor output setup or do you want something airier and cloudier? The answer to that will make a huge difference.

And, there are tons of starter and/or pod mods that can be obtained for a reasonable price that are probably going to give you a better vaping experience than what your dad had the technology has travelled quite a distance. I am pretty sure you could get something infinitely more customizable in terms of type of coils, airflow adjustment and even wattage adjustment if you want it for not at all an outrageous price, especially if you shop online.

Welcome and I hope you find a better vape!
