ego-t battery not working

i just got a new ego-t battery two days ago and yesterday it suddenly stopped working without me dropping it or anything the light won’t blink at all even when i charge it the led on the charger stays green but the battery stays dark i’ve tried centering the firing pin but nothing seems to work have i just bought a defective one or is there some way i can fix it

Newcomers often forget how to turn on/off the battery with 5 rapid clicks (or is it 3?).

It's not uncommon for these eGo batteries to malfunction. Most people have moved on to more dependable battery devices. If you don't figure out a fix, return the battery to the vendor you bought it from.

@Baditude has the right of it.

The Ego battery design is how old by now? 8 years easy. The chances you accidentally turned it off are really high IMHO.
I’ve found personally that if there is a mechanical fault, it’s generally either the switch, which is both annoyingly fragile and not fixable, or the positive center pin which tends to work its way down over time. It can be pried back up again with a pin and some care and patience.

    If I knew mine was depleted, I would plug in the charger first, and then slowly screw the battery on. Often, it would move back and forth between red and green. I'd stop when it was saying it was charging. Red?

    Welcome and glad you joined.
    Your problem could be a result by many different causes.
    Could contact:
    Local B&M Vape Shop (Visit)/someone who knows what their doing -----Might be simple.
    Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
    Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
