What coil are you using? How well charged is the battery?
I'm using the 0.5 DL SS316 15-30W as it says on the coil. The battery is fully charged.

Edit: being that I put in a fresh coil before, it could have been that the coil just need to be broken into. I'm not having this issue much anymore.

I believe the issue kind of subsided after the fresh coil got more broken into.

For you, or in general? The 0.5ohm coils spit and gurgle on all the tanks Joyetech make for these coil. Power setting (watts) etc won't solve it. I nearly threw all my tanks away in frustration. Instead, I swapped the coil choice and then bought 6 eGo AIOs to give to people (for free!)... to start vaping.
Call it 12 months experimentation.

Thanks a lot, I'll take your word for it. I next time I pick up the coils for my AIO I will make sure I get the .6 coils. Good thing there's a real solution for this. I appreciate your advice.

I know, it sucks. Try not to go too mad on (buying) the coils until you are satisfied for yourself.
I think I'm on pack no. 6 or even no. 7.
I get them from China 5 for $5.59. I can't say I've had one go bad yet. One lasted only 5 days, but that might have been me.

I'm sure Joyetech was well aware of these issues with the Cubis coils as they included the anti-spitback mouthpieces with those devices.

A couple swabs with a Q-tip a few times a day may be the only way to keep down any excess build-up.
You know it's funny that the AIO also has an anti-spitback mouthpiece. I bought my AIO in black and it comes with one clear mouthpiece and then the black slightly shorter mouthpiece is an anti-spitback one. Very interesting.

I use the more basic one (non-spiral) as an everyday drip-tip on various tanks. Good MTL drip tip.

I can also add that vertical coils are notorious for spitting, thats why they put that spitback screen into them thats a bandaid fix that IMO hinders the airflow. With a horizontal coil the juice spats all around but with a vertical coil the juice spits into the middle of the coil right where the airflow is so you get spitback from the pressure of you taking a pull. You see videos of people who fire a juiced dripper without a cap and see the vape spitting all over, thats whats happening but all into the center and hot juice has nowhere to go but up. A .5ohm coil at 25 watts would get hot fast so you are forced to pull hard and fast, burn your tongue or burn the coil...a double edged sword that cuts either way. Having juice under the mouthpiece is just the nature of the beast, we all have that no matter what tank your using.
