Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to vaping, however I've been sub ohming for about a month and a half now. I was told that with the batteries I had I should be safe at .3 ohms and above, but they were a phony sony battery. I just purchased the EFEST 1860 2500 mah 35A batteries and was wondering if anyone had much experience with them or ran them under .3 ohms. I looked for charts, but it appears that they are fairly new and most charts don't have them listed. Any suggestions?

If you are sub ohming, I believe all vapers should give 'baditude's' blog post "Deeper understanding of Mod Batteries" a read

it'll take 5-10 min to read but is very important stuff. Plus its an awesome post

Here's the 1st one on batteries and the one you mentioned above:

1. Battery Basics for Mods contains a list of recommended high-drain IMR or IMR/hybrid batteries for use in a mechanical mod.

2. Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries describes what an IMR, IMR/hybrid, and ICR battery are. Explains what the letters & numbers mean on batteries.

It's .21 ohms

Too low for the battery you're using. Which is a re wrapped / labeled Lg he2 20a cdr battery.
Safe / smart sub ohm vapers leave x / % of amps below the continuous discharge rate of the battery as headroom / safety cushion.
Then there is the accuracy of what you use to measure resistance to consider.

I work at a vape shop and we all do that. Just the efest was wrote down to be .21 ohms to tell our customers.

Translation please.
We get information on every item we have so we know what to tell our customers. And the purple efest battery is able to build down to a .21 ohm but that's the lowest it can go. Everyone in my vape shop own Sony vtc4's cause we all are low subohmers. But we have one person who uses the purple efest and their build is at .25 ohms.

The purple efest has been proven by multiple reputable independent testing sources to be re wrapped LG he2 battery which has a maximum continuous discharge rate of 20 amps.
4.2v / .21 = 20a = zero saftey margin.
Now factor in the inaccuracy of a normal $30 - $100 dvom / ohm meter, which can be as little as .015 (very rare) or as much as .2 (common).
Meaning when you get down to the .2 range unless you use an ohm meter that reads 3 places to the right of the point (.000) you really don't know what the resistance actually is.

Safe / smart sub ohm vapers do not equal or exceed any battery's CDR, those that do without an accurate way to measure resistance are ignoring saftey and betting on luck.
