Is there a rash of people losing their mods?
Won't the Government then be able to track vapers?

You do raise an interesting concern, Sir.
Perhaps you were being facetious but it is entirely possible that just as each individual computer
has an identifiable number and cell phones have tracking, an application such as the one in question
while a wonderful theft prevention device could well be used for nefarious purposes by the gub'min.

But I wouldn't worry about it, Steve. Everybody has cellphones now
and if they don't, the gub'min will give them one with 250 free minutes per month...
If you have a phone Big Brother knows where you are.

Don't forget your phone...:D

I was wondering if anyone has tried using one of those trackers for keys on their ecig. After a few hours or research on building box mods, I've never seen anyone do it.

I've never seen it done, but (for me at least) it'd be entirely pointless. I've never lost any of my mods, or even had a moment of "where did I leave it..?" (Knock on wood).

No, but I've considered it. problem is, those things require batteries as well. :) My solution probably fits a vapor's shinyness habbit...just simply buy a few backup mods, then a few backups for your backups along with a few mods to use while you're recoiling your backups... I say 50 mods should suffice. :)

I'm curious as to how lost this mods is expected to be. As in: lost in the forest at unknown location? Or forgotten on the nightstand? In the former case, chances are you are way out of range of any tracking beacon that would fit in a mod.

You may have better luck with some bluetooth proximity alarm that goes beep when you lose your mod - than something to find it once it gone.

No, for the same reason I don't do it for the keys.... If one has lost his keys.. Keys one likely had in their hands mere minutes ago.... What makes one think they would be able to find a tracker remote, they may not have used in weeks?

Because the remote is safely put away on a shelf where it belongs, not something you carry around with you on a daily basis and forget where you last put it down at.
