Hi All,

From research and a lot of reading it looks like PG is to be avoided for those that follow the Halal, Kosher, Vegetarian or Vegan diet. But I'm also reading that it's impossible to have truly 100% flavoured e-liquid. All flavours apparently must contain PG. Would that be correct? Majority of what's available in the market are PG and VG mixes, which doesn't meet my dietary needs.

My dietary needs are:

  • Avoid any substance or extracts taken from animals.
  • Avoid any substance or extracts taken from alcohol.

My dietary preference:
  • 100% vegetarian.
  • Good flexibility and choices on flavours.
  • Preferably 100% organic.

I'm based in the UK - so any recommendations specific to UK would be awesome, although happy with non-UK sites if they deliver to the UK.

Thanks in advanced

I could get in to a scholarly discussion but I'd rather avoid that in order to keep on topic of the actual help needed/requested - any recommendations for my dietary needs?

Thanks,

Brilliant answer ;)

I have a PG aversion, so i look for similar parameters for different reasons.
Heathers Heavenly Vapes has a PG-Free purity line, where even the flavors are PG free.
MyVapeJuice.com has a "VG vape" version of their flavors - no PG used in the flavorings themselves.

Email both to double check on the rest of your requirements. The customer service from both companies are pretty responsive.

Hi All,

I'm a new member here and I think I started a new thread at the wrong place and haven't I've been suggested to post my question here instead - below copied and pasted. Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

Most flavorings are suspended in PG.

Consider asking your question over in the General E-Liquid Discussion Forum or the DIY E-Liquid Forum once you get in your 5 posts and the servers update at :25 past the hour.

If you are interested in DIY you may find some helpful links here: Compiled List of PG-Free flavorings and Vendors who sell them

Thank you! I've just created a new thread here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...lal-kosher-vegetarian-vegan.html#post15402053.

Thanks again

Hi, iAmRaja. I think that's a really interesting question you've asked and I sure hope somebody comes along with just the answers you need! I've been wondering about the same sort of issues myself and would love to learn more.

I was a vegetarian for about 20 years who couldn't quite make it to full vegan. Nothing at all to do with religion, I did it strictly for the animals and I feel awful for slipping off the veg wagon a couple of years ago.

Sorry I don't have a lot to offer, but I did notice a Veggie Vapers forum here under Misc. Social Groups. It doesn't appear to have been active for a couple of years but maybe reading thru some of the old threads can help you find answers or at least point you in the right direction.

Most flavors are carried in pg, but not all. There are some vg based flavors, but unfortunately a lot of them use pure grain alcohol. You could always mix 100 % vg and nicotine for a flavorless liquid that some people actually prefer.

Just out of curiosity, why is pg verboten. Could you link to any articles please.

Looking at the above linked thread, I did forget to mention johnson creek in my earlier post.

Their red oak line is PG-free - I believe its cut with distilled water (ingredients list says deionized water) since its much thinner than 100% vg. I started with their products and still use it from time to time (wisconsin frost, silverthorn, tenessee cured).

They are US-based but ship internationally, as does HHV.

They claim to use vegan ingredients.

Not sure about UK, but my PG and VG are kosher...
Good quality and available on Amazon which might help shipping-wise. If not, could try direct...

For flavorings, you could check with the bigger vendors, like The Flavor Apprentice - I am sure they know the answer regarding their own product.
