E Juice - Flavors??

First off I am floored by the number of sweet flavors out there.

I have found few good Flavors that are based around something other than sweet.

For my pallet I am looking either for recipes or mixes that are more savory.

Some things I think would taste good:

Peppermint, spearmint (not sweet)
Cinnamon
Sage
Cedar
Nutmeg

Anybody have some good recipes and/or ideas?

I don't like sweet flavors myself. Some ideas are teas, coffees (though there are some really bad coffee flavors out there), some fruit flavors (mostly citrus), and some menthols. One thing to keep in mind is that VG is sweet in and of itself. So higher vg juices will taste sweeter.

If you do start DIY, then you can make mint and spice flavors that aren't as sweet as the commercial ones. Oddly enough, I bought and now make an English Toffee that is rich but not overly sweet. Cardamom is good by itself and with other flavors. And some tobacco flavors aren't sweet. They don't generally taste like tobacco, but they can be fairly pleasant.

Well When I am finally able to get into the recipe area I will regurgitate some of these thoughts in a more coherent manner but for now I will just babble:

I am looking at making several of my own tinctures and flavours. Coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, and nutmeg are easy to see. Some lesser thought of ones are various herbs like sage, oregano, and maybe some woods like cedar and so forth.

It somehow bothers me that many E JUICES flavours are based around childhood candies. I have never had much of a sweet tooth so a lot of these are lost on me. Now I do realize that many of the flavours I desire are not out there commercially so I am going to have to learn how to make my own... Carefully and with thought about possible adverse reactions.

Hi, and Welcome to ECF!

If you are going to mix your own juices, I highly recommend that you look into the DIY E-Liquid forum - especially the stickies at the top of the first page - lots of good information there - here's the link: DIY E-Liquid

You sound like you are interested in being safe when DIYing and the ***DIY Warning....Please read*** sticky is very informative in that area.

Welcome again and Happy Vaping!
