My kit came with one of each a metal round drip tip and a plastic duck styled drip tip, what i was wondering is if there is a difference between the two (other than they are shaped differently) like does one or the other perform better or is it just a preference thing? Also is there a taste difference when using a metal, plastic, or glass drip tip? Which would you guys recommend as the best

Like most things in vaping different people like different things. I don't like metal but a lot of people do. Metal conducts heat best so if you have a hot atty it might make the tip hot.

I think I can "taste" metal. Not sure if it is really taste or just reacting to the feel against my lips. I don't want stuff coming off my tip that I can taste and most tips do not shed stuff.

My favorite, right now, is delrin a type of plastic.

I went to fastech and bought one of every material I could find for cheap, under $2 each, and now I know what I do not like to put in my mouth so I do not have to buy a $50 beautiful tip unless I just want to look at it.

I use stainless, seek2 I drilled a small 1/16 hole through my stainless muffler tip to help keep it cool while vaping sub ohm. You do the same in Delrin to help keep it cool so it doesn't melt, the other plus is the holes actually help cool the vapor a bit and that cooling causing expansion of the vapor and bigger clouds. I was blowing some clouds today in a freezer unit, those are some extreme clouds as that warm vapor hits that cold air the clouds get super massive.

the differences
heat (plastic, glass, ceramic and stone are better, or some long metal ones)
durability (metals and some plastics are better)
flavor (some vapers have a sensitivity to stainless so they avoid it)
bore (a wide bore is preferred if you are dripping)
form (depends on what you are comfortable with)
other than that they are the same

I personally love short straight wide bore and favor delrin over stainless (for the heat) but like both

Some great tips above, no pun intended. I prefer Pyrex glass tips but have to order them a dozen at a time because I seem to break them easy. I like them for the mouth feel, they stay cool and come in some of the most amazing color combinations. I have tried plenty of tips and some probably a lot better than Pyrex but they just don't feel right to me.

I prefer stainless. Not because they vape better, but because I prefer the look of it. I know, I know, but I digress. Looks do make a difference to me, when it comes to drip tips :).

I do, however, use a wide bore delrin drip tip for my Magma RDA. That's because it's currently built quite low in resistance and a stainless drip tip would get uncomfortably warm pretty quickly.

I also dislike metal drip tips. Cannot stand the taste, even of the stainless ones. I like delrin the best. I am looking for a wide bore delrin tip for dripping, but don't want a stubby one. I want one that stands about the same height as a standard delrin tip (at least 1" in addition to the fitting). Amazingly, ones with a bore greater than the diameter of the hole in the fitting are impossible to find in this size.
